IBM Team Building @ PD

After 6 years in RCC, this is the first time I'm invited to the team building from IBM. I had a chance to be together with those managers, and regular employees, joined in a team, played the same activity.

I would say it's a lifetime experience for me. When it was my first time going to 200M away to the ocean, and it's my first time being a 'guide' leading and guiding the blind-folded manager (Dear Ms. Halida~~), and also doing water rafting, not only row the raft, but also involved in making the raft together with my teammates.

It was quite a fun when we made up the team, designed a team name, drew the flag, and also created a battle cry:

1 plus 9, 10!
5 plus 5, 10!
Who are we?
Re~~~~d Jumbo!

Haha~~ it sounds childish and funny, but it really brought us back to our school time, when we were in the school camp or what. It's been quite long since my last remembered moment of this.

I didn't take any picture for the water rafting, because I was one of the participants I couldn't hold my own camera. But there were other cameras shotting us, hopefully I didn't look very bad in the photos... :P

Despite the happiness and enjoyable moment that I had from the journey, I think it was my first time going trip without having enough 'supplies'... what a shame about that! Although I could 'survive' at last, but it was just so inconvenient at the beginning, and I didn't even imagine it could happen to me at the first place until I realized it at the very last minute! OMG~~~!

Nevertheless, I really wish that I could have chance to attend such a wonderful team building event again in the future~~

A trip to Seremban (Negeri Sembilan)

Date: 23 May 2010 (Sun)
Time: 7:30am to 7:00pm
Location: Seremban and Negeri Sembilan

I had a one-day trip will my parents to Seremban on last Sunday. We went to a seafood product factory, Jeram Toi waterfall, herbs garden, grapes garden, centipede temple and Siew Pow stall.

These are dry sea cucumbers. Very scary huh? looks like... (use your imagination...)

Jeram Toi waterfall

In the herbs garden, you can see different types of plants for medical usage.
How many can you name?

In the grape garden, look nice huh? but actually not really nice and we didn't buy any.

Walked uphill to the temple, it's really not easy. In the middle there's a toad, people believe that if you touch the toad and walk around it 3 times, your wish will come true.

The most famous Seremban Siew Pao, and Lou Poh Beng... hehe

Wish for a family vacation

A few years ago, my brother and I used to have an agreement that, we will pay for our Family Vacation to Hong Kong or other country, but this plan was canceled after my nephew was born, and the worst thing is we don’t know when this dream will come true again.

Taking care of our little baby nephew no doubt has brought us a lot of laughter and happiness, but also it takes away our freedom especially my parents, they are spending almost 7 days a week to take care of him. I just wish that since he’s growing up, my sis can take more responsibility on him so that we can bring our parents to a vacation as soon as possible.

'Back' to Melaka

After almost a year, I have a chance to visit Melaka again. This time is my bro-in-law's brother's wedding (very complicated? haha)... but anyway, I'm not one of the invitee, so I had to wander around with my brother in the Melaka town. It's tiring, but anyhow, I've seen another view of this historical place.

Again... the 'entrance' of Melaka...

The place where we had our first lunch...

Don't know what's this called, but it's new in Melaka.

Penang Trip + My Manager's Wedding

It's said a 'trip', but actually we didn't go many places. Of course, by the time we walked out from the hotel, it's already afternoon, where could we go?

Anyway, our main purpose here is to attend our Big Brother (manager)'s wedding, so visiting has become not so important for some. The only place of interest we visited, was the reclining buddha temple.

The place we stayed, Good Hope Inn Hotel.

The antiques placed in the hotel.

Reclining Buddha temple (Wat Chayamangkalaram)

Beautiful sea...

This photo is very blur because of my lousy camera. But anyhow I like this picture very much. Maybe I look better in blur...haha

Thanks Adrian for inviting us to such a wonderful dinner, and thanks for giving me an oppty to join such a unforgetable clubbing party. Congratulations to our BIG BROTHER and CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding~~!!

Jungle durian feast....

It was a month ago, when it's still during the durian season, we had a chance to get jungle durian when we just came back from the waterfall.

Many foreigners don't like durian, they say it's smelly. But one of my Korean colleague likes it very much! She's crazy about durian and it's her first time tasting jungle durian, the real old jungle style.

According to my friend, the main difference between jungle durian and the one we usually see in the market place and roadside, is the age of the tree. Jungle durian usually older, and some even more than 100 years.

My father doesn't really like jungle durian because of the taste and the fruit is quite "watery"... but even my Japanese collegue who rarely eat durian, thumbs up for it. So, is it really nicer? It's depends on your favourites.

Jungle durian usually smaller.

Does it look delicious to you?

Durian feast at the roadside...haha

Adventure in the jungle~~

It's my Team Lead's idea to travel to the waterfall. I really didn't expect that, the journey could be so adventurous and exciting! However, it's good to have such a group activity together, especially if you are in a team, after all the busy works and stresses, we still can have fun and outing together.

This is what we call "Nature". Can you hear the sound of the stream?

Jungle-tracking... see the bushes, we could just squeeze ourselves through.
Can see where am I?

This is what I call "Adventure"... maybe you see nothing here, but the water actually was very fast...

Here is our destination. The Chiling Waterfall.

Another side of the view.

Actually I like this place.

Singapore Trip Day #5 - Journey Home

Date: 04/06/2008 Wednesday
Bkt Batok - IMM Building (dunno where...) - Home

I had to move around 7am, as need to catch up the bus at 8am back to KL. The station is in the IMM Building. I really didn't know the location actually.

I couldn't even managed to take a picture of the whole building from outside (the taxi's window was too dirty and blur, only dust and reflection would be shown). This is the picture I took before I stepped into the entrance.

Anyone don't know the way and also want to take a bus from here to KL, please take note that, the station is just behind the Burger King restaurant.

I just had a check, and found that the IMM Building is actually in Jurong East (one of the MRT terminals).

Taken from the bus. Goodbye Singapore~~!! I'm sure will be back soon.

Singapore Trip Day #4 - Running out of time

Date: 03/06/2008
Bkt Batok - Woodlands - Ang Mo Kio - Woodlands - Bkt Batok

I should have spent more time on walking around, especially today should be my 'shopping' day. But by the time we walked out, it's already later than afternoon. And I spent much of my time at the same place, when I decided to walk away by myself, it's already 5pm. T_T

It's quite a waste for me as this was the longest time I stayed in this country (5D4N). But it's ok, shopping is just my second purpose here. It's just...... if I wouldn't want to walk around, I might not be staying this long. And I really thought that I could go more places....

Nice view from high. Can we ever see this in Malaysia?

The MRT station nearby.

Finally I was able to walk away, and this is my only destination.

The mall at the station that I just 'passed through' because really short of time. I actually went behind of this building to get some cheaper stuff.

My friend was quite worried when knew that I used my only < 1 hour time to go there. I know it's very much in hurry. But if I didn't walk there, I'll be more regret as this has already been my least shopping trip to Singapore.

My dinner: black pepper venison (deer meat) with rice

After a heavy rain at night, the car park was flooded. But I'm not sure whether it's because of the rain or the leaking pipe.

Vista Point, I didn't walk in, just passed by.

See? 1 bag go 2 bags back... hahahaha

Singapore Trip Day #3 - The Happy Moment

Date: 02/06/2008
Bkt Batok - Toa Payoh - Canning Rise - Cityhall - Dhoby Ghout - Orchard Rd - Punggol - Bkt Batok

When I thought I can go walking around and shopping shopping, actually I didn't really can make it. Anyway, this day can consider was the most places I've visited, although just stopped by and not walking around.

Our sushi 'brunch' (breakfast + lunch) at Toa Payoh.

The church we saw on the way to another destination.

The Dhoby Ghout MRT station.

Singapore Trip Day #2 - Long journey for curry fish head

Date: 01/06/08
Bkt Batok - Woodlands - Orchard - Changi - Bkt Batok

We were in the Woodlands for the whole morning, until I met up with my friend, and heading towards the most famous shopping arena in this country. But we were only managed to shop 2 malls due to the short of time, and later on we need to move to another place for dinner.

My lunch, I don't think I can find it in Malaysia.

Part of the Orchard Rd, the way when we went out and prepared to move to another destination.

Started our long long journey to the other side of the country, just to taste the famous curry fish head.

This is the place we had our dinner.

This is IT~~ the CURRY FISH HEAD~~~ ^_^ Y

The harbour and the seaside.

The resort in the nightfall.

My last day

Today marked the official last day for me as a working human.... I'm officially "jobless" 😆 I can't tell what this feelin...
