Election! Election!

After making a guess for so many months, finally the date has been set for our 2008 General Election. Unfortunately there are still many people still not aware of the importance of voting, they just keep a none-of-my-business attitude until there are some policy or rules really involve themselves.

All the candidates from different parties are busy going around, meeting their voters, showing their passion and enthusiasm. You can see some of the 'good news' are announced, and some requests that were pending previously have been taken into consideration.

Regardless of siding to which party or which part you support, actually it's quite interesting when you see the interactions and reactions between the politicians and the people. And I'm really curious what kind of breaking news we will have in the coming days.

Beach vacation

I'm not a good swimmer, I even don't know how to swim. However, I really like the beachside scenery, especially when you are in a vacation together with the sun and beach, it's such a relaxing and enjoying experience.

Caribbean is famous on its seascape, it's fasnicating especially when you can take a vacation on white-sand beaches of Riviera Maya. It's a dream for all the beach or sea-lovers, while admiring the view, you can also take part of the aquatic sports, Spas, crystal-clear sea waters. In the Karisma Hotel, you can enjoy all these activities and also their full facilities that can make a time of your vacation.

Dinner

Why I didn't update this blog for so long? coz it's been some time that I haven't got any offer/oppty for paid blog... T_T I wonder if they also celebrating CNY... it might bcoz I seldom online at night, all the offers have been taken, couldn't wait until morning.

Just had a dinner with my co-workers, can say it's a CNY gathering, coz we got 'lou sang'. Don't be surprised, it's just my second time for lou sang. I don't really enjoy the ingredients actually, but I did enjoy the way how we tossed and mixed the food high to the air and shout out loud with lucky words.

There is a what I called "challenge" is put in front of me and it's depend on my luck and effort of course to grab it. I'm quite afraid actually, afraid of the unknown future, afraid of the new environment, afraid of change... but as long as it's a chance to step forward, rather than keeping yourself in the same place forever. I'm not the only person that offered this oppty, I need to 'compete' with another one. However, no matter it's a succeed or not, at least I've tried it.

Baby's 2nd travel

This is the second time my nephew travelled to other state. First time is in CNY eve, my sis and her hub brought him back to Melaka, my brother-in-law's hometown. This time, he's travelling to Ipoh, my grandma's house (mother side).

Travelling a long way really not good for baby, especially he's still young. But luckily he's still able to adapt himself during the journey, just a bit fuss on the midway and his mom had to carry him to my mom.

He's such an adorable and lovely baby that he's happy for anyone to carry him, and responded with a wide smile. He has made almost everyone happy, including his 3-year-old cousin (actually is my mother's elder brother's elder son's son), and his 90-year-old great grandma.

Having a baby in our family is such a wonderful thing, especially when you see their angelic smile and voice. However, there are still so many people doesn't like children, they think children and babies are 'little demons', very noisy and disturbing. You need to bring your love and patience when you are with the little ones, you'll find a heaven in their world.

A gathering waiting for 10 years

It has been 10 years since our last gathering, I also couldn't expect that.

We used to be taking the same school bus when we were in primary school, every morning and afternoon during schooldays were our play time. We were so closed together until before we left the school, we promised that we would have a gathering 10 years later, during the mid-autumn, back to the school.

Unexpectedly, this promise which for most of the adults would take it as a childish behaviour, has been realized. In 1998 autumn, we have fulfilled our promise, we had made it to have a gathering, we went back and to our alma mater, just as what we promised.

But the more unexpected thing is, after that we have not met for 10 years, if it counts from the day when we first knew each other, it's been already more then 20 years! Unbelievable? 20 years has passed like in the twinkling of an eye.

Many things have changed in these 20 years, we are no longer same as before, we don't even have any common memories among us. I even doubt that if there is anything that can still pull us together. However, it's not easy to keep a friendship for 20 years, we should treasure what we have.

Before we went back, some asked what would be our next gathering, it can't be another 10 years again. I hope not. I'm always be the organizer for this, just see what's our plan. Being an organizer is not an easy job, at least you have to spend your time and money (making phone calls). However, it's good to help keeping us together.



Here are the 5 of us. There should be 6 of us, but Yee is uncontactable during this years. I'll try if can get contacted with him. Meng, Desmond, Siew Moi, Jack, thank you for coming and I hope I still can see you guys in our next gathering.

John Rambo

It has been 26 years since Stallone played the character John Rambo in the first episode of Rambo: The First Blood. This legendary hero has become the icon of a one-man fighter in the future, whenever there is a man who can fight with 10 to hundreds of people alone, we called this man -- Rambo.

I can't remember the story nor even any scene in the first 3 episode of Rambo, but his muscular figure and cool-looking face will always be in my mind. And it has become the reference for the future movie, how the hero should look like.

I wasn't so interested in this movie before we watched it, but we only had limited choice at the time. However, it has impressed me only in the first few minutes in the beginning of the show. Especially when you saw Stallone came back with his unique, one-and-only Rambo spirit. Yes, he's old, his movements might not be able to compare with those time when he was young 20 years ago, however, it's undeniable that, he's still the "Rambo" I remember and no other can played Rambo as much as he could.

This movie is a bit bloody, all hands, arms and legs 'flied' here and there, body splitted in the gun shot or bomb attack, blood splashed everywhere..... but it'll recall many of their "Rambo memories".

Coming back from CNY holiday

Happy Chinese New Year !!!

This is the first day I came back to work from CNY. I really had a very rushing CNY for 2008, not enough time for prior preparation esp the decorations for my house. I even just bought the hanging ornaments yesterday... =.=" I'm responsible for the CNY deco every year, it's better late than nothing.

Housekeeping is another work I wasn't able to finish b4 the CNY. I always busy on work, and when I had some free time, I need to go out or I rather took a rest. I don't like this feeling actually, because keeping your house clean also will make yourself feel more comfortable while staying at home. But pity, I couldn't make it.

I still don't have time to go 'bai nian' this year, there are not many visitors to my house neither. But we had a group of 'mostly unexpected visitors' this year: my cousins. or more specifically, those cousins whom rarely contacted after my grandma passed away. And actually our families had some conflicts previously. So their visit really surprised us.

Gathering, of course is a very important activity during the CNY. But I just managed to meet with my primary school friends on last weekend. Maybe there will be another one soon.

Nevertheless, I wish all the BEST in 2008~~!!
