Many people had been amazed by the low price of mobile phones in Singapore, you can get $0 for a mobile phone if you signed up a plan with contract. In many years ago, when we didn't need to sign up any plan to buy a phone, many people like to get some gadgets from Singapore, especially Malaysians. But now, as the currency for SGD is getting higher and higher, buying SG gadgets with Malaysia Ringgits is no longer worth it.
Moreover, as I was told, the call plan in SG is not really cheap also as it charges both caller and receiver. I haven't really made any research on the phone and call package in SG, but I was also surprised that actually cheap mobile phones are sold in convenient stores like 7-11, without any contract.
