Facebook Security

News (In Chinese): 新闻:少女無端成“援交妹”‧面書遭盜用‧社交網站變禍害

If you own a facebook account, and you don't really update it or even access it, please be careful and actually
it would be better for you to delete the account because it seems you don't really need it.

Nowadays there are hackers everywhere, the victim in the news above, she didn't aware that the hacker used her account to publish some message that she is the compensated dating girl, they published her contact number, even the 'price' of each 'service'. And the worst thing is, the owner didn't even notice about it. Until one day she found that how come her friends list suddenly reduced so much (got unfriended), and then after she received a call from her boyfriend then only he realized thing goes serious.

You know what, these hackers, they can use your account to post something from you, and you NEVER know about it. They hide the post from the owner, that's why you won't realize actually you posted something bad on your wall. I also realized that previously some of my friends had posted a link to the porn message or videos, I didn't really knew that they were 'interested' in such thing, then I checked with them and screenshot the post to them, then only they found that their accounts were hacked!

Scary huh? So friends, if you see me posting something 'fishy' or 'weird' in FB, please remind me, since I may not aware of it myself. And the most important thing is: DON'T BELIEVE IT!! I never interested in something bad (or porn).

In the news, the victim said that they have reported this to the Facebook Admin a few times but the same thing happened again and again. It seems that it's also something out of their control.

Now I've made it a habit to change my password from time to time, but still I know there are many "holes" for them to get in, but at least I've done the most I could.

gecko

How many of you really knew that, the creature that cling on the walls in our house is "gecko" instead of "lizard"?

I only know it today. Before this, I really thought that was just a lizard. OK, new information learned.

I know someone is really phobia on gecko, that's why I have this vocabulary. I'm not really a gecko-phobia afterall it's actually called "Ah Bu" in my house (named by Boy Boy).

Good to learn new thing.

If I have 100 Meg

I found this video shared by my friend in FB. It's very funny as it actually complains about the poor internet speed from one of the local service provider. The song is in Hokkien, but got lyrics subtitle in Mandarin and English. It's really really funny until I cannot stop laughing when watching it.

Actually not only one, it happens all over the country. All the service providers also got complain about the internet performance. No matter how good their ads is, when you are really using it, sure you will want to throw away the modem already...

Connection down

At first, it's my brother's PC network spolit, cannot connect to internet.
Then, today, after he's using my laptop to surf net for 2 weekends, now it's my turn to find that my laptop's wireless connection is down.
I have tried to call to the streamyx for support, but at the end, I'm able to connect using the LAN cable... gosh!
Which means that, now I'm staying in my brother's stuffy room, with full of 'spidermen', and probably cockcroaches or mice somewhere...... luckily still got fan, but I think my hottie laptop cannot 'tahan' for too long.
Not a very lucky connection day, huh?

15 Malaysia: House

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xSHYP724Ok

This video is quite sad but it do tell the true story. The same thing happens to many people especially to the poors every now and then.

For those who live in a bungalow or even a better house than Rama, for those who never suffer from poverty, they won't imagine how a small house can be so important to somebody like Rama and his mother. When he says, "My father built it..." you can tell how this matter to him. He loves the house just for this simple reason.

Internet Service

My sister is currently looking for internet service for her house. Actually there aren't many choices we have here, either their services are unsatisfactory, or it's very expensive and doesn't worth the price.

As I know some other countries are having more advanced internet services such as harboursat satellite broadband, which provide you best services yet affordable charge. It would be great if the service can be available in my country.

To use the internet service, we need to check if our living area is within the coverage, you can see rural internet services are not really good in this place. If internet services can be available in any part of the country, then many people will be benefited.
