~~ Happy New Year ~~

It'll be 2009 in another few minutes, however I can already hear the firecracker's sound everywhere (isn't it illegal?). Everybody are just so excited to welcome the year 2009.

Year 2008 is filled of many unfortunate happenings, from natural disasters (earthquake, flood, cyclone, snow storms...) to economical crisis, everything is just out of control and people are getting more sufferred from days to days.

New year, is a new hope. Hope that the prices of commodities will not get higher, hope that our petrol price will lower down again, hope that the economy will become better, hope that the world political status will be stable.... Wishes EVERYTHING the BEST!

Happy New Year 2009~~!!

Crazy......

I think I'm getting crazy now. Slept after 12 in the morning, woke up 4~5 hours later, then started to work at 6am, I should have been home after 3pm, but then I stayed back until 8pm, and reached home at 9:30pm. I had been in the office for more than 14 hours!!

It's really tired working in morning shift, especially I have to travel so far away from my house, and furthermore I'm not that kind of 'on-time' worker who can leave the office right on time. I always have excuses, and this time, it's my PC issue. It's freezed until my whole machine cannot work properly, can't even open my IE browser! Maybe is the file executed? or...... couldn't find what is the cause of the issue.

Anyway, good thing is, I'll start on leave starting from tomorrow (1/1/09) until next Wednesday then only back to office. Sounds great? hehe!

Happy New Year~~!!!

Jewelry

It has been quite a long time since I watched Cantonese dramas, but recently there is a new and quite popular drama series -- “Precious and extraordinary”, has been very popular. The story is about jewelry and the people around it. Because of this drama, many people have more knowledge about jewelries including how it is made and evaluated.

Most of the people like it because of its face value, or the price that it carries. For me, it doesn’t really drive me crazy like it does to other ladies, yet in some aspects it still attracts me. Moreover, sometimes I would think how good it could be if you can afford for a Designer Jewelry, it must be very expensive but you can trust on the quality and value for sure.

Backdoor.Tidserv!inf .... apa ni ??

I was just accidentally run a file and it end up my PC got trojan infected!
And consequently, I cannot connect to the intranet... everything seems down to me.
Fortunately it happened an hour before I finished my working hour.
But the bad thing is, I have to stay back to troubleshoot my pc, so that I can start work tomorrow at 6am......

Alamak~~~ what's happening here!!

'Back' to Melaka

After almost a year, I have a chance to visit Melaka again. This time is my bro-in-law's brother's wedding (very complicated? haha)... but anyway, I'm not one of the invitee, so I had to wander around with my brother in the Melaka town. It's tiring, but anyhow, I've seen another view of this historical place.

Again... the 'entrance' of Melaka...

The place where we had our first lunch...

Don't know what's this called, but it's new in Melaka.

My desk's Christmas deco

Our center has a competition for 'best-deco' desk (something like that...), the committee will select which desk has the best Christmas decoration. I don't put much deco on my desk, budget is one of the problem of course.

This "Christmas Tree" is given by my colleague, same as the one who 'sticked' the Christmas Tree on my table, you can see from my previous post: My Christmas Tree.

Thanks Emily! Again, for your effort and heart...

This very cheap little small tree is the only Christmas deco that I bought for myself. It's small, but I do like it put aside my bear bear. Just wonder if my CPU's got any radiation effect on them? haha!

New hair cut

I didn’t take much time to think, when I stepped in, just told her I want to have my hair cut and rebonded. Before that, I just thought to have 2 to 3 inches cut coz my hair was really too long. But then, after she finished, I found that my hair was cut too short.

My mum and brother’s response were negative, they didn’t expect I would have cut it flat instead of v-shape. Anyway, I’m quite comfortable with my new ‘look’ now… haha!

Thank you! Farewell! Good Luck!

We were having a 'farewell meeting' with Mikiko-san, our final conference with our greatest "mother" that has been holding our hands walking along the way, since 3 years ago, until now we grow up and be independent.

For us, she's more than our trainer or supervisor or higher management, but also our role model, friend, consultant, even a 'mother' that could bear with all her children's mistakes, goods and bads. She's the nicest, smartest yet most graceful 'leader' that I've seen. She's always in her smily face, never seen her getting into a temper before even if somebody is making a mistake, but then it still make you feel sorry and guilty.

I think it's already a 'miracle' to me for coming to this point, because I'm not really good speaking in English, it's not only the tone and the pronounciation, it's also about the way that you communicate and how well you can express yourself. I never speak well in a daily or casual conversation, it's the weakest part of me. However, she did help me along all these years, not really on the language part, but the way I handle things, how I could improve my knowledge and skills. Because once you have confidence about yourself, you'll have a fluent speech. Because of her tolerance against me, and patience to keep guiding me along, whenever I felt frustrated and lost she'll pull me up and show me the right way. That's why we are so much appreciate her in our team.

When it came to my turn to say some words to her, a sudden sadness had come into my mind. I tried to control my emotion so that I wouldn't sound trembling. My words were still not quite organized, but at least I think that I've expressed most of my feeling out to everybody.

However, Kim were choked with emotions. I couldn't see her face but her voice changed and she couldn't say a word. We were part of the first members for this team, we have been coming across so much laughters, angers and tears from the beginning until now. I think she has more feeling than me, as she works more with her than I do.

It was a very emotional conference, everybody felt sad and heavy-hearted, some of us started weeping, I even could hear M was sobbing on the other side. Ya, it's hard. Anyhow, all good things came to an end. So I will just wish for her happiness and health in the future. As she's having her second pregnancy, so wishing her has a healthy and pretty baby. Japan ladies got one year maternity leave, so she'll be with her family on the next year. I'll never forget her and also the moment that we had together with the team. We might not be keep in touch so frequent, anyway, hopefully I'll have chance to meet her again.

All the BEST, Mikiko-san!

Just got my photos

When I came home today, I surprisingly found that the 50 free-printed 4R photos have been sent to my home! I was so excited to get the photos... until I found that at least 10 copies are duplicates. Did I order twice for them?

I was a bit disappointed (a bit only....) as I should be able to get 50 different photos printed. I think it might because my network got problem that day, it was keep disconnecting and reconnecting again. Maybe I just uploaded twice for same set unconsciously.

Anyway, thanks for eoe Online for the blogger's review program, just by writing a review on your blog, and they will give away 50 4R prints for FREE! That's not all, you also stand a chance to win a grand prize.

If you have missed the first chance to participate in this program, don't worry! Now there are having a Blogger's Review II, you still able to grab the opportunity to get 50 free 4R prints by writing a review on your blog. The best thing is, they UPGRADED the grand prize to an Olympus E-520 kit with a 14-42mm lens worth RM2499.00!

So don't miss your chance this time, get your free prints and be a Grand Prize Winner!

Let's wind blows

I wasn't trying to ignore him purposely, it's just because actually he also didn't greet me anyway. I think I also didn't say 'goodbye' to him when he left.

I never felt anything until I found there are some pins putting inside the box, lying lonely on the desk..... it remembers me when the first time I met him, and also the beginning when he joined us. He was so passionate and promised a lots in front of us. He said he's a good listener and learner, he'll try his best to pick up the knowledge and skills...... but time tells everything. Things had changed from time to time, and gradually he shows his true color in front of us. Lots of arguments, conflicts, misunderstanding....... happened among us, and I still don't know what went wrong.

This makes me think that, there is a coincidence happened in our team; For those who starts the conflict or having conflicts with everybody else, even just one or two, will be leaving at last. It's not the bad thing anyway, you may say that they also went for their better future. But for those who stay, also is a kind of relief.

Anyhow, just let time brings away all the memories we had in here, for good or bad, everything should be come to a conclusion now. Just let bygones be bygones and we should start our new life (busier life... T_T) from now on.

Christmas deco @ 1U

Today went to One Utama for movie, and then found that their Christmas decorations are very beautiful! My camera can't really reflect the real picture of the scene, you may really want to see it by yourself.

From New Wing. Most lights are in white. Just like a fairy tale.

This is also my favourite decoration, taken at Old Wing.

My Christmas Tree

One day, while I went to work, surprisingly, I found a "Christmas tree" on my table.

The Christmas tree was made of color papers, and it's sticked on my desk. Very surprised, and I feel very warm and touching.

Later, I found that it was a gift from my colleague, Emily. She was so lovely that she made the Christmas trees by herself and gave to other teammates too.

Thanks, Emily! And Merry Christmas to you too!

First time @ Jogoya

I first heard about "Jogoya" from my colleague, after I work here. Previously it was an unknown name to me. Other than it's a Japanese buffet restaurant, the other thing that is very "FAMOUS" about it, is it's VERY EXPENSIVE. I always want to pay a visit there, as everyone is talking about it.

And finally I had a chance to have a dinner at this EXPENSIVE restaurant, and it's just because of they are having a 50% discount for all ladies from 13 Oct 2008 to 19 Dec 2008. Check promotion. But not all the girls in my team were joining. The food, is not as good as I expected, anyway it's quite a new experience for me.

This is the Christmas decoration inside the Starhill.

The first dishes I took. Already filled up the table, so gotta stop and eat... haha

The delicious oysters.

My second round......

Japanese sushi & sashimi. A little bit of everything...

My Dinner -- one day

When I work on afternoon shift, my time finish work is at 8pm. As it's too late to take a bus, so usually my father will come and pick me up. But sometimes when he has a team meeting at night, or has some other things to do, then by the time he reached here, it's already a few hours later.

Like a few weeks ago, he came from a meeting at Bukit Bintang area, plus the traffic jam, he reached here at 10pm! Gosh~~

And when I have to wait for him in the office, I usually will buy some food for dinner. And this was the second time, I bought curry chicken rice from Old Town. I'm not a fan of Old Town, the thing is, it's one of the nearest restaurants we have around our office. The other 2 are Paddy House and The Walker, but Paddy cooking time very slow, and The Walker is too expensive.

I took this photo when I almost finished my meal. It doesn't look nice still, one of the reason is it was taken by my Moto L6... haha!

To the fella.....

Maybe I should know who is that.
Don't worry, I dedicate to my work more than you expect.
If somebody are so free to view blogs during work and even want to leave crazy comments, that means he's not working also.
So, please mind your own business.

Easy Photo Printing from eoe Online

Recently I found that, many of my friends have been starting to get crazy about photographing, even my brother is starting to learn it and working as a freelanced photographer, taking photos for magazine publishers, from fashion show or any exhibition/events. As I read through some of my friends' blogs, they even got themselves a DSLR just for better quality photos.

As being influenced by them, I also feel like want to pick up this as my hobby. I like to take photos sometimes, as you can catch all the shots by yourself. Especially when you can get good shots, you will feel great about it.

As now almost everyone is using digital camera, we seldom print out our photos. One of the reason is that printing a digital photos are very expensive, if compared with when we printed photos from film last time. Another reason is that, photos in digital format are much easier to be transferred and shared. You don't need to print out 3 copies just because there are 3 people in the shot.

However, sometimes we just wish that we could see the photos without getting our pc on. And can you imagine that, now we can get as low as RM0.30 per copy for a 4R photo?

It's a great promotion from one of the local photo retail site eoe Online, you can just go to the website, upload the photos and they will send you the photos to your doorstep! You can enjoy free delivery if your order is above RM35.00!

The steps are also simple, just upload your photos, select your print size and then after you have filled in your contact and payment info, you can just sit at home and waiting for the delivery.

And also for bloggers, you can also write a review on your blog, you can get 50 4R photo prints for Free! and also get RM50! Can you find any thing is better than this? For more information, please click here to find out.

Don't wait~ you don't always have a chance like this!

Farewell... forever...

This tree is beside grandma's house, very 'old' already...

I still can't believe that, Grandma has left us.

When walking around the house, I still could felt her everywhere. Her voice, her stooping body, busy working in the kitchen, checked if we have our blanket covered at night...... everything is just still fresh in my mind.......

She was so healthy before, she's just depressed, upsetted, because of she couldn't be with her family and friends. She refused to eat, until her body became weak, and then felt down....... since then, she never really recovered back as her old days.

A few days ago, we were just thinking how to celebrate her 90th birthday.

Sis was just thinking wanted to bring little boy boy back to visit her again...

Everything was still in plan, but...... it's just a fall...... why it could take her life away?

I still can't believe it. She was a nice person, she's kind to everybody, she deserved a better life. But she couldn't make it, she was still suffering until the last moment. She couldn't even leave her last words...... I can't stop my tears everytime I think of this.

However, life goes on. No matter how much you are unwilling to part with your loved one, it's nothing you can change. Hopefully she can release her pain in the other world, hopefully everything will be fine........

Farewell, Ah Po! You're always the best grandma I ever had.

please be dared....

Just back home today. When I go through my site, I found that there is a disturbing fella who has put 'something' on it. I don't mind if somebody 'identified' themselves as "anonymous", but please lah, if you are so 'dare' to give me some 'advice', why don't you just identify yourself and let me know who is that 'kind-hearted' fella who concern about me so much...... at least I can say 'thank you'. After the sadness is over, I didn't expect to see such annoying and disturbing words from my own territory. Maybe I should know who is it...... please just do something constructive, for your own good.

Personal injury lawyer

Have you ever come across any person who had been injured in an accident but got problem when trying to claim for compensation, because they cannot afford for a lawsuit? Some of them even lost their ability to work.

They might not aware that actually there are so many organizations and professionals actually able to help them on this. They can find somebody like Personal Injury Lawyer Austin. The lawyer is actually specialized in all the legal issues regarding personal injury compensation claims. The best thing is, it can be a free service because all the fees and costs are also claimed from the other side.

My Love, Grandma

My love Grandma has passed away.

When I got the news from my dad, I was still in the office, going to be off soon.

My first expression was...... shocked.

All of a sudden, my mind become blank for a second, I couldn't believe it's real.

Few days ago, we were still happily talking about how are we going to celebrate Granma's 90th birthday, some suggested to have a buffet, some prefered it to be in Chinese style, some said we would rather go to the restaurant...... it was such a big thing for us, and until now, we still haven't made any decision yet.

Sis has called up our aunt in Perak, she told us that, Grandma had accidentally fell on her butt when she tried to bring the key to my uncle who has forgotten to bring it few days ago, after the accident, she even vomited blood. They have already taken her into the hospital, but still couldn't save her.

She was healthy, she used to be cheerful, kind-hearted and nice. It was just recent years, she suddenly felt so lonely and miserable, she refused to eat and talk, until she was admitted to the hospital because of insufficient nutrition.

I have been keep thinking of "how could it be" since then, but I still don't have time to have any negative emotion right now. I have taken emergency leave tomorrow and will go to Grandma's house with my parents. Hopefully there's something I could help them.

Grandma, I know you've been sufferred a lot. Sorry for not being on your side all the time, I know you don't really want to leave us. RIP......

Futsal again

I don’t how many weeks I’ve missed the futsal game with my teammates, but I believe it’s long enough until my energy level has already dropped to the bottom, I don’t have enough stamina to hold myself even around an hour.

Joce was not joining this time, so did the ‘X-man’. Even after leaving my futsal shoes for so long and I know my skill is still bad, however, I did see I have improvement… hehe… Of course, skill is not the main purpose I play futsal, I just want to get workout, get sweated and do some exercise.

Florist online

When it comes to year end, it seems like it is “wedding season” again. Well, everybody is dreaming for a nice, warm and romantic garden wedding ceremony, then the place has to be decorated with bunches of beautiful flowers.

Some might feel hard to find beautiful and fresh flowers especially in a large amount for decoration, but here is a good idea. Nowadays there are many online florists available that supplies all variety of flowers with attractive prices. If you do not have any specific shops or website to refer to, you may check with San Diego Florists as there are lots of florists listing for you to check for the information. Their delivery is usually within one day so that they can make sure the flowers are still fresh and nice while it arrived to the destination.

Working on Xmas day... OT somemore

Our latest schedule is out. After a small discussion -- but actually there is not much to be discussed about -- 'we' have 'agreed' that I'll be taking the shift on Christmas day and do extra 2 hours overtime to cover the night shift. Of course I got extra pay, otherwise who would be working on public holiday?

Christmas day is still ok for me as I'm not celebrating it, and don't really plan to go out because I can expect it shall be extremely crowded everywhere.

But the problem is Chinese New Year. Can you imagine that, Chinese staffs are not the first priority to be off on CNY. I understand that we need to support all other Asian countries, but there are some other members available, why we are always the one who take the tough work? That's why I strongly refuse to work on CNY every year, it's not worth it. Unless you pay me 10x, otherwise I would rather stay at home at least it's our biggest day in the year.

I'm still worrying about our CNY schedule, they said Mandarin team must have at least one member standby. I would strongly say NO, by all means, I'll definitely fight for that. Yes, I'm local, but it doesn't mean that I don't need to celebrate CNY.

Gathering

This was the second place we had our meal together, when we didn't really have a good experience at the first one. And actually we felt much comfortable having drinks and cupcakes here.

We have been friends for more than 12 years since we started to know each other. 12 years! Can you believe that it's already 12 years? Time really flies and it's usually a decade when you notice it.

It's really a precious frienship for us as still able to have gatherings along all these years, it's not easy as not many of us can maintain like this.

We were all brand band members before, during our secondary school time. Can you tell who played which instrument? And actually 2 of them are still continuing their practice and career in music.

The carrot cup cake.

Lemon cup cake

This is what we call: Coffee art.

Medical equipment

This morning while I listened to the radio, they were talking the poor medical service in town. One of the callers told that, when her father was having a heart attack one night, they have been to 2 clinics but none of them can take care of him because lack of equipment. And she and her brother sent their father directly to the hospital but by that time, her father had already gone into a coma.

From this case you can see how important it is to have full medical equipment for a medical center, especially for some rarely seen things like foley catheter. When saving lives, every second counts.

Bad dining experience

It really wasn't a good experience dining in this lousy restaurant, especially it's located in such a high-class shopping mall and with such expensive charges.

At first, the waiter was joking with his colleagues (the other waiters) when taking our order, despite our face turned red.

Then, after half an hour later, when we found that we had been waiting too long for our food, and checked with the waiter and manager, they realized that the waiter forgot to place our order. Some of us already pissed off, even shouted to the manager.

OK, the manager promised to serve our food in 10 mins. At least he kept his promise...... 90%. Our first food was served in 10 mins, but then, still got one of our order was missed. They forgot to make it! Gosh~~ my friend really cannot tahan already and directly throw his tantrum to the manager, regardless other customers might hear it.

The manager promised to give us discount, but the most he could give us is 5% only. Not even cover the 10% (worst) service charge!

You know what excuse he gave us? They have no time to train the newbies, and people make mistakes.
We really cannot tahan that after such a mistake that they have made, they still got such excuses for that. This is not a normal mamak stall or kopitiam, it's a sushi restaurant inside the KLCC! How could they provide such a lousy service to us. Even mamak stall is better service than these fella.

After 'eating' all the 'gas' into his stomach, my friend which order was missed, finally had his dinner at another cafe. That lady who served us with her 'sunshine' smiling face, has somehow calmed his anger. :)

Anyway, for that lousy restaurant, don't expect I'll go back again.

When it comes to year-end, there are many housekeeping jobs to do before celebrating Christmas and New Year. MC...... finally

After getting "perfect attendance" for the past year, today I decided to 'give up' by taking MC at home.

The flu virus really strong this time, first was my father, then infected to my mum, and the little fella caught it, then my brother was the next. We believe that he caught another virus from outside, because he's more serious than others, almost slept for the whole day. And now I'm sufferred from the flu virus.

I actually had already fell sick yesterday, but I still 'tahan' until my shift finished, dizzy for the whole day, couldn't even know what I'm talking about, got a call from a difficult user somemore, kept complaining about how troublesome our system is. Maybe because of that call, I decided to take one day MC at home... haha

But actually, I had been sleeping for almost the whole day as well. Maybe is the effect of medicine, maybe I just really too tired. Anyway, I feel relief finally I could decide to take medical leave. It's just what I deserve to have, I'm not that strong anyway.

Surgery for beauty?

Every time when I saw myself in the picture, I always have the feeling that it’s quite ‘horrible’ to look at, especially when there are beautiful girls or who had dressed up well, I’m always became very dull and…… horrible.

Many people consider for a plastic surgery to get themselves look better, for me it’s still out of my budget and it might be painful? However, if I would have a choice, maybe I’ll try a blepharoplasty so that my eyes can look brighter and bigger, of course, without the ugly dark circles around. If surgery is your choice for a better and prettier look, you can visit Denver Plastic Surgery for consultation. Trust their professionalism and technology, they will bring back your confidence of yourself.

Kuan's Wedding

I was quite surprised when I received Ah Kuan's call for her wedding invitation, I'm glad that she still remember on her big day.

On Friday evening, Wai came and picked me up from my office and went to the restaurant together. We shared some stories on the way, mostly about our recent life and work.

I thought I might meet somebody at the dinner, however, he didn't turn up. Although it's not expected, I felt a bit relief... at least... all others including me would be more comfortable in that environment.

Just got another 'red bomb' today, from another guy that was quite closed to me few years ago. There was another 'story' about both of us, anyhow, it doesn't matter now.

Congrats to all my going-to-marry and married friends!!

Auto Body Shops

When it comes to year end, many people are planning to go back to their hometown or any other places for vacation. If you traveled by car, sure you would need to make sure that you car is well-functioning. To ensure that, you have to find a trustworthy auto repairing shop such as auto body shops yorba linda to help you to take good care of your vehicle. Make sure your car is in good condition for your safe journey.

Quote of the Week - again

Recently there are lots of "Quote of the Week" message are pasted on the walls in the office. It reminds you how to get successful in your career, maybe. Some are quite motivating, some quite funny. Anyhow, it's depends on how much efforts you've put in and how's your attitude to your work.

It's not easy to be successful, anyway, it's still good to have such motivating words around with colorful graphics in the office area.

10 minutes email

I found this website from a magazine. It's cool that you can get a 10-minutes email, the email address will be self-destructed after that. Especially when you come to some forums and websites that ask you to register before you can access further, this is very useful to you.

You can request for extra 10 minutes if you found that 10 mins is not enough. The good thing is, you don't need to expose your personal email address and end up getting lots of spams. So just try it and you can see the difference.

Looking for new camera

OK... I know everybody is looking for a DSLR now. Well, I don't have the budget, nor the skills, so I would better to get myself a simple point-and-shoot camera first.

I'm not good in photographing, don't even mention how to differentiate the what mm lens, what shutter speed... totally blank to me. But still, I do like taking pictures, furthermore currently there are so many friends around me are crazy about photographing, then gradually after affected by others, they have aroused my interest on this.

So now, after recommended by my deary brother, I'm now looking for Canon IXUS 960IS, but unfortunately this model has already obsoleted. The good thing for this model is, it has a titanium body, and my brother has tested its performance and quality and given a high rating on it.

I've tried to search some shops, but they either not selling this, or the price is still high.

Anyway I can get this around RM1k~1.2k? :P

Thinking...

Just read a friend's blog, and found that actually she has started to think of finding a new oppty.
I never aware that, M can be the only reason (at least is the major reason, I think...) why she's still staying here. Now M is going to leave the team, and she starts to feel wavering.

What about me?

While all my family members besides my mum, others are keep staying in their first job, I'm the only one who had changed jobs few times, and this is my 5th job.

When many members were having hard times and leaving one after another, I did feel wanna quit too. But I just couldn't make up my mind because I just want to find a place to settle down. Changing jobs are not the exciting and happy thing for me. Salary is important but not the main consideration, it's about satisfaction and motivation of work.

Even if I'm no longer thinking to leave in the short while, I still can't really see my future here. Yes, new opptys are coming towards me, but the thing is, am I really capable to pick it up? Moreover, after so many negative things that you have heard and found out about your employer, you will doubt if you have made the right decision.

I believe in fate and destiny. I'm not in any religion, but still I believe that somehow there is a 'power' up there already has a plan for you. When time comes, you'll see what you have to do.

For me, working is just earn for living. I don't have any great career expectation and high goal to achieve. I knew that I'm not a leader-type person, so I'll just do my best to play the role as a team player. And so far I'm working fine with that.

Future? Just let the time tells.

Get your degree online

The following blog post is based on information provided by Blogitive.

I had been thinking of taking higher-level education such as a master degree during the first few years of my working life. But actually it’s not really that easy because working and studying at the same time is not an easy job, you definitely need a strong will and patience to finish your studies.

But it’s also not impossible, as one of my ex-colleague also did that, he has finished his master degree while he’s working. Now with the online courses, we don’t even need to attend to the class by ourselves for studies, we can get the online university degree, only computer with Internet access is required. Study materials, resources can be found online. So if you really have a dream, you have to start it right now.

Award for Perfect Attendance

I was just told that I've received an award for Perfect Attendance. What it means is that, I never took any MC or EL (emergency leave) since December 2007.

What do I get?
1) A certificate (printed A4-sized and laminated)
2) A photoshot with the Manpower - and taken by my mgr
3) Handshakes with our bosses and mgrs, including big boss in RCC, Joey.

Anyway, it's still an honour to me and it's become part of my credit in my career. Not easy to get this anyway, at least this is the first time they presented this award and also my first time qualified for this award.

And what can I expect next?

New Change, New Hope

It's definitely a big change in the history, not only to the USA itself, but also to the world.

Congratulations to Barrack Obama, who has just been chosen to become the next President of United States of America. It's not easy for an African-American to live in USA, don't even mention become their president. But as a miracle, Obama has done it.

I'm not an Obama fan, I don't really listen to his speech either. But the thing is, he has brought us a new hope, just like what he said, everything is possible.

For a country like us, where putting signboards in other languages will get sued, should learn from them. They used to be discriminate to the black people, but now, it's their choice for a 'black president'.

How long do we still need to take, for those diehard racist to face the fact that, we are in a multi-racial country?

Time for Japanese course?

I wonder why, suddenly they become so passionate about learning Japanese, really go and take the Japanese class in a tuition center.

Actually I'm OK with it because it's good for me to learn another foreign language, the only problem is the schedule. They prefer to go during weekdays after work, and I'll rather take it during weekends. So, no deal, and they've signed up for the course before me.

I used to thought I could learn Japanese and Korean after I got these 2 colleagues in my team, but in fact it's not. You'll learn faster from drama, trust me. Watch more movies and dramas, you'll find that one day, you've learnt a lot of Japansese and Korean.

Will I still take the course? Maybe, but if I do, it'll be next year. I'm not in rush in it. The main purpose I want to learn this is to be able to communicate with the Japanese and travel to Japan... maybe? haha!

Suddenly I found that there are so many things hide behind me, is there anything I don't know?

Ba~~! Ba~~! Ba~~!

You know who is he calling? Not his father, but my father, his grandpa!

My little nephew used to can pronounce "Ma", "Mum", "Buh", "Boo", "Ba".... and some other simple sounds. But now, the only word he likes to 'shout out', is "Baah!" Either it's "ba ba", "ah ba", or "ba ba ba", in different tones, different 'combination' of words.

Everybody is his "ba ba" now, whoever he calls, he'll call him/her as "ba". Sometimes he can pronounces "Ah Bo" or "Bo Bo" (grandma) correctly, but sometimes he'll still prefer to say "ba".

Can he really differentiate if "ba" really means his father or what?

Am I too busybody?

I should have known that he doesn't like to be controlled, doesn't even like to be 'asked'.
When he replied to me I could 'feel' that he sounds not really happy about it.
It's just kind of helpin- each-other-stuff, coz I just don't want him to lose any opportunity or offers... but it seems that I was care too much and over what I supposed to be.
I think I better learn how to control myself... haha

What is Lasik?

I didn’t really know about LASIK, until some of my friends really took LASIK surgeries. When LASIK was first known by the public, many people still didn’t really trust it. Especially after some of the news about the side effects of it, people were getting more insecure about this new technology and would rather keep wearing glasses than taking the risk.

Actually you can find all the LASIK information nowadays from many resources, including Internet, magazines, books, newspapers, and so on.

After many years of research has been taken, now the LASIK technology has become more advanced, and also more secure and safe. The recovery can be up to 100% after the surgery, and therefore you don’t really need to take any risk, and you don’t even need to suffer from the pain, as long as you find a trustworthy LASIK center.

LASIK is good for those have serious shortsightedness, sensitive to contact lens or just wish to have a clearer vision. There are many LASIK center out there, and it also available in some of the hospitals, like the eye hospital where my Dad had his cataract surgery few months ago. The problem is, it’s still quite expensive for normal people. But I believe that with more advances on the technology, it’ll become more affordable in the future. So people can throw away their glasses and enjoy a better vision without barrier.

Our precious moment

After almost 3 years working in CRM team, I started to feel that we are just like a big family. It's the feeling that everyone is closed together, living happily, no matter what argument or conflicts we have in our works, when it comes to leisure time, we still can be happy together.

Like my other friends say, how many group of people so called "colleagues" can go jungle-tracking, travelling and singing karaoke as what usually friends will do?

This karaoke session is planned by our dearest TLs, for the farewell of our teammate Roz who has already left. We also gave him a Royal Selangor photo frame as a souvenior, and putting our team photo which we are holding the trophies and award cert.

In another 1 years, 3 years even 5 years, if we still can be together, it must be very great! Even if we don't, we'll still remember our precious moment together.

Very Funny Boy.... hahaha

"One year here is challenging in working but I'm happy I have go through it. At the same time, much appreciate that my first year formal working life is so enjoyable and now is going to vacation. (It is too perfect for me!!)"

When you read the message above, you might think that this person is going to leave the company, right? But he's NOT. He's just got his contract renewed for another year, and having 6 days off (including weekend) starting from tomorrow. Then what is the thing so emotional for him that he would send out such a 'touching' message to all of us?

Very funny boy, huh? Hahahahaha (cannot stop laughing.... :D)

Congrats to CRM !!!

This month we just got 2 of the CCAM awards, this photo was taken because we want to give it as a souvenior for a member that just left our team.

We had a farewell dinner+gathering at Puchong Neway, and this is the first time I saw another face of our teammates, simply enjoyed. No serious faces, no arguments, no conflicts, just fun and laughter. I'm so glad that actually we can be together like this, there are many other people who call themselves "colleagues" cannot make it in this way. That's why I really appreciate it.

Exciting day for the newbie

I believe that today definitely is the most exciting day for our new agent, Jamil...

Susan and Jeff both on MC, there is no Korean agent available, as a newcomer, he has no choice but to go into work, start his first 'one-man show'!

Although today is Friday, Korean incoming calls still more than English and Mandarin, the total calls that 3 of us got still lesser than him. Anyway, as we know that he was the telesales person for one of the leading IT company before, so taking calls is not a big problem to him, it's just his technical knowledge is still not enough.

And he also became the first ever, got the compliment before he officially go on live, Amazing!

Luckily today is Friday and the 3Q closing is over, we have much time to 'have fun' backing him up, haha! I think he'll be no problem on live very soon.

Communication Barrier

I really don't know how to communicate with him. He's kind of having prejudice against me, everything I say or do he'll have something to say, and no matter how I respond, it'll end up with his comment that -- I'm hard to be communicate with.

I've already proved that it's not only I'm facing the problem, as some others also having the same feeling too. I admit that I'm not strong in communication skills, sometimes I also found difficulty in getting along with my peers, but I've never seen such a cranky person and so hard to communicate with.

I'm not good in fighting or arguing, so I just keep silent and swallow all my words and anger to myself. I know whatever I say he'll still fight back, he has no respect on me at all. I can say we have a great communication barrier between both of us.

What I hope now is, if we had a chance to move again, please please please don't set my seat next to him again.

CCAM awards in 2007

I can only find the CCAM awards photos for last year, but there are still many familiar faces in the photos. Guess which one is our 'BIG BOSS'? :P

SME

Finally, I got this title.
But I'm not really that 'excited' or happy at all.
Instead, it's more in tension and more responsibility is coming to me.
Anyhow, it's a good start, at least I got "something" after almost 3 years of hard work here.
Of course if you gave me a choice, I sure will still accept this role.

Silver and Bronze awards, competition among all other hundreds of local Call Centres, definitely is a great honour and motivation to our team, and gave me more passion to stay here and work harder to achieve my higher goals (although I don't really know what it is...)

CRM, gambateh! YF, Fighting! Team, Jia You~~!!

Congratulations~~!!!!

Just got a good news, our CRM team has won a Silver and Bronze for 2 of the categories in the 8th Annual CCAM (Customer Relationship Management & Contact Centre Association Malaysia) awards!!!

Our hardwork and efforts finally paid off. Although it's still not the gold yet... at least we've marked our name on it.

Best in-house Contact Center - Bronze
Best Mystery Shopper award - Silver

Ah.... Baah!

"Ah... Baah!" "Baah! Baah!" "Ah.... Buh!" "Ai... ya ya ya..."

This are all the words my little nephew likes to say recently. Previously he knew how to say "Ma Ma", but now what he wants to say is only "Baah", but I don't think it means that his father, it's just kind of voice that he likes to or only can pronounced.

Now, whoever he sees, he calls "Ah Baah!".

Gosh...... everyone is his Ah Ba (father) now.... (sweat...)

Another "Quote of the Week" in RCC

This is the other "Quote of the Week" in our office:

Cannot speak English??

I should have asked her name and position in the school. I can't imagine that a person who works in school, cannot communicate in English~~ Gosh! Even if a 'pasar aunty' can show off her English to the customer, how come a school can hire somebody that can't speak English?

My Korean colleague wants to send her little girl to primary school next year, so she called up the school and asked for the registration process, but the lady who answered can't really speak English, she can only speak Mandarin or Malay which my colleague can't speak any of them.

She's a Chinese~~ Oh My Gosh! What a shame to my own people. School doesn't teach English? Even if she is a secondary school graduate, she also should have learned English for > 10 years! Don't tell me they are hiring a primary school graduate... really unbelievable... (sweat...)

But at least it's better than Chinese do not speak Chinese.... right?

Is these all I got?

I took it as a 'surprise' when the TL brought me this...... she showed me the true 'sincereness' she has to us by bringing this as an 'appreciation'. I responded with a great thankful smile and words, but what she didn't realize was, there is a sneer in my heart.

What? After all the things that we've done, after we had left our busy jobs behind during the peak period, and this is what we got? It doesn't mean about the cost, it's showing how much appreciation you have to our hardwork -- a sticky note and 2 snacks < RM1 in total.

However, as what my friend told me, never care about your hardwork, and don't be upset if you found that nobody appreciates. Because every little thing that you've done today, will become part of your credit in the future. There's not much thing that you did is really a waste, somebody might have seen it.

This is what I always believe. And even if some may thought that we were doing silly and stupid work, but who knows, maybe next day, you'll find that what you do today is paid off.

The young man still couldn't understand, that's why he's arguing with me. I'm not first day working, although I'm not expert, I still know some rules in the corporate world. I've learnt a lot from other seniors, you have your own principles, then just go on with it. I won't try to convince you and please don't you try it too.
