Niu Ze Xui @ Ara Damansara

I've been to the place once, when our 'big brother' treated us as somekind of... "glee feast" maybe? We were having our steamboat dinner at 100°C restaurant at that time.

For my second visit, I was with my parents, brother and little nephew. If my sis was not going back to Melaka, she might follow.

This place called "Niu Ze Xui" (NZX, 牛车水 in Chinese), it claimed itself as the "Malaysia largest covered boulevard", and actually the main focus and most attractive place here is the covered street in the middle.

Perhaps it's still CNY holiday now, we didn't see much crowd here, not even all the shops were opened. It's a nice place with new concept, however, it's not really a suitable place for somebody like us to visit and shop.

Actually Singapore got another "Niu Che Shui", the 'original' one. But it's the Chinatown and sells things with low prices, and there are lots of shops, restaurants and stalls, we can spend almost half day there. Here, very much more different.

The inside view of NZX.

This is the place where we had our steamboat dinner last time.

In a boring evening...

There are very less incoming cases today.
Don't tell me it's because the whole AP is having CNY mood...
Keep refreshing and refreshing the mailbox to look for new incoming email...
Still nothing came in...

Just had lunch with one of the Mxx team member.
I knew her during the Mandarin short training class.
A very cute vegetarian.
She told me their team can receive up to 200 calls per day, per agent.
WHAT???!!!
What would it like if we got 200 calls per day?
I think we will get crazy.
Because now even we are only handling 10~20 cases in our queue for each,
it's already a huge burden for us.
Troubleshooting, looking for similar cases to get the solutions, searching information from KB & web.....
If every cases need to take more than 10 minutes, 1/2 hour or even few days, few weeks to complete...
I think we need to get at least 10 people for each team: JP, KR & MN.

I just took one case from the inbox.
You can say it's a kind of initiative...
or busy body...
because all the cases have to be equally assigned everyday.
Anyway, I just wanna get sth to do...
If I'm not sitting in such a 'public' area
where almost everybody walking around can see what I'm doing from my monitor.
I would prefer surfing internet, writing my blog, playing games.

Very sleepy...zzzzzz

I'll start my CNY off from tomorrow,
and get back to work on next Wednesday.
This team, doesn't allow me to take a whole week leave during CNY,
as I'm the ONLY LOCAL from the team.
The priority is given to others who get 'hometown' in other states.
And the Mandarin line actually is not closed.
So that means it shouldn't be our off day.

农历新年我们有开工啊!
有空没事做就打个电话过来吧。

My & My sis's cake

My sis's and my birthday are just 4 days different, so before she's married we always have our birthday celebration together on the same day. The 'celebration' I mention here is just as simple as a family dinner outside, and birthday cake every year which never missed out.

After she's married, we never had bday cake together. So this year, as she has to go back to Melaka during CNY, she suggested that we could have our cake a week earlier. And this is the one we had.

The meaning of the birthday in our family, doesn't need to have a big party with lots of people attending. It's just very simple -- family dinner and birthday cake. And for us, it's more than enough and we are happy with it.

Happy Early Birthday, Sis! And happy early birthday to me too!

My achievement

It was such a great surprise when my manager told me that I'm the finalist of the Agent of the Year award for 2008. I won't deny that I have been working so hard and serious to my job, but it doesn't really can make me an "Agent of the Year".

At last I only bring back the "2nd runner up", that can consider a third prize. It's a bit disappointed somehow -- really, only a little bit. However, it's still a great honour to me, and give me a great motivation. Finally my efforts are paid off, for all the things that I have been doing in these 3 years, finally is rewarded.

Of course I have to thank my manager for fighting so hard for me in the management meeting. And other teammates and people that have helped me along the way. It's nothing I can complain about my job. I have thought of quitting before, especially after facing so much frustration and demotivation, and at last I decided to stay where I am, accept what I am and keep with it.

For some of the people, promotion or pay rise is their rewards. For me, I'm still an agent. And now it has proven that, I can be a good agent, just agent.

Anyway, I will keep on doing what I'm doing. Nothing will really change instead my spirit and energy to my work. Thank you again, for everybody!

Baby Stunt

Recently my nephew likes to play with this, we call it "Yoga style". No matter how we stop him or even scold him, he still likes to do it. =.=" Actually we are afraid that he will accidentally twists his neck or arms.

Other than "Yoga", he also likes other dangerous "stunts" like climbing up and down, playing with plugs, or wires, or killing ants... it's very tiring to take care of him. My sis and brother-in-law are so lucky for just looking after him once per week, it's my parents, even my brother and I are suffered... HELP~~

What "Man" is that this time?

It's quite funny when first saw the English title for this movie -- "IP MAN". Some of the people commented that, they thought it's another hero again, some sort like spiderman, batman, superman or what.....

Ip Man is a man, no doubt about it. But the "Man" here, is not English, "Ip Man" actually is the Chinese name of the main character himself.

This movie can say is a black horse, because it's not a new topic, many other movies had already used Chinese hero as main character and described how they fought with the invadors (Japanese and british most of all) during the World War.

However, this movie somehow has received great positive response from the audience and it has become the blockbuster. Maybe you will see a difference when you watch it.

Working Boots

My brother is working as an engineer in a manufacturing company, so he always needs to walk down to the factory to monitor their working progress. I still remember he has showed us his boots that provided by the company, with a very hard steel toecap, according to him, it’s hard to be broken even hit by a hammer.

For those who work in a factory, especially with heavy machines and equipments around, or any dangerous place like construction areas, it’s very important for self-protection. Boot is used to protect your feet and legs. Some boots are covered up to knees, but it’s usually used for construction purposes.

Because of its good materials for high protection, boots used to be very expensive. Therefore, not many people will buy one if not for working purpose. But now as boots have become a fashion, many shoe designers have some special-designed boots for regular use and as casual wear. As it also give feet and legs protection, it’s getting popular as autumn or winter wear.

If you are looking for a working boot, maybe you can find it from the web in promotion prices and special offers. So that you don’t have to spend a lot to get one for youself.

I heard this from my friend today:

Now we have another 'description' for those people that you think is really "Snoopy's brother".
And actually, I found one just now.... ><

My Nephew in 17 months

It's been quite a while since I last update the growth and development of my little nephew, one of the reason is because I was quite lazy.

OK. For the little fella, he is getting naughty and more active now. He has learnt how to ‘climb’ up to the sofa, to the coffee table, to the chair, etc, so we have to keep an eye on him every single minute so that he won’t hit anything by accident.

Maybe he is using all his effort to learn how to climb, open the gate, walk/climb to the kitchen, throw all the things, remote control the TV, etc… so he’s still not really good in talking or speaking. He can’t really pronounce father, mother, grandma, grandma properly, not even those words that usually a child same age as him is really good at: Mum Mum (Food), Kut Kut (Drink/Water), BaBa (father), Mama (Mother)…… if he’s not calling “Ah Ba” or “Ah Ber” too frequently, we would afraid that he might have some ‘language barrier’.

While all others can walk very well at his age, he’s still prefer to climb around. He can walk at his 15~16 mth, but still not very good in it, still need a lot of practice. However, he’s walking longer distance everyday. Yesterday he walked from living room to the kitchen, without holding anything, although he walked so carefully, at least he walked by himself.

The most we worry about him is his diet, milk is still his main food everyday. He’s not really taking solid food like porridge or rice or vegetables. Sometimes he will eat, but if he eats too much, everything will ‘come out’ from his mouth (maybe stomach) again. Maybe it’s the problem of his digestion system. Anyway, as long as he is growing (not starving), if milk is still enough for him we will just keep it as this. Later on maybe my sis will bring him to the pediatric again for body checking :P.

We are still very tired looking after this little fella, but when you see he’s laughing so happily or respond you with a cute expression or action, then you’ll feel very happy and warm.

p/s: BTW, he also likes to "bite", and my mum, his grandma is the main "target". My mum's shoulder got so many bite mark, it's all because of him...

New stroller for my nephew

My nephew always like to go out with us, he is so excited when he knows that we will bring him out, no matter where we go or what we do. However, as he is growing up, it is hard for us to carry him for long, and he still cannot walk properly by himself.

Actually, my sister has a stroller for him. The thing is, one of her friends that mean it is not a new one gave it. Therefore, it is getting dirty and smelly after using for a long time, and since he is growing up, he cannot fit in to the stroller anymore. Now, my sister wants to buy him a new one.

You can find the strollers from shops and supermarkets, but you have to go many shops so that you can see the different features and compare the prices, it is very tiring and time consuming.

But now, there are some easier and more convenient way to shop for strollers. Just go to the website, browse or search for the product, find the one with the most features that suit your needs, and they will let you know where or in which shop you can find the thing, and show you the price comparison.

As we bring the little baby boy to the shopping centers a lot, we would need a Full Feature Stroller, where we can put all the necessary stuffs on that. Maybe the Extreme Chicco Cortina Stroller can suit him. So now we can save time, energy and money, as we do not need to spend time shopping around.

Lost photos

I just wrote a post about my past year review.... and then I found that I cannot find the photos I took when sis & I went for Kuala Kangsar Trip. Gosh~! What's happening!!!

I tried to use the windows search function to 'dig' the photos from my laptop and external hdd, but unfortunately, I couldn't even find it even if I searched by the modified date.

Now the only place I can find the photos is from my facebook:

A Trip to Kuala Kangsar

Happy New Year 2009~!!!

Finally, it's officially turn the calendar to year 2009~~!!
Again, Happy New Year!!

I should be very tired and sleepy now because actually I woke up around 5am yesterday, to start work at 6. But just want to finish some 'jobs' and waiting for my brother to come home from countdown gathering, I need to stay awake... If really cannot 'tahan' then will take a nap...

But the good news is, starting from today will be my 'long holiday'! Including today as a public holiday and weekends, I will have 6 days leave! You can imagine how excited I was when I set my out-of-office notice.

Finally my pc is fixed and at least I can use it for temporary (not sure if the virus is still survive and hide somewhere in my hard disk).

I still don't have any plan to spend my leave, got too many things in my 'to-do list', but maybe I'll just end up doing nothing but sitting and sleeping and playing computer games and surfing net at home... haha!

Happy New Year~~ and may all your wishes come true~~!!
