Christmas gift exchange 2012

Our team has gift exchange for Christmas this year as well. After having a great lunch, we had a lucky draw sessions for our gifts. Coincidently, HL got my gifts again. This is the third year she received my gifts consequtively. Is this a fate? or what we call: 缘份. hahahah! But I'm glad that she's the one who received it, actually.... I think the gift that I bought more suitable to her also.... :P

Guess what I've got? hmhm... it's the LED light + coin bank from Alia. My dad said it could be useful to him. hahahaha!

Merry Christmas everybody!

My First CSS - Dec 2012

After almost 2 years in the team, this is my first time, handling the CSS by myself, alone. With only my boss came in for a few minutes and helped with some quiz questions.

Previously I wasn't confident enough to handle this longest training we have in the center, especially I'm such a careless and always lose focus type of person. And I can't really handle difficult situations, challenging questions, problem attendees, fighting attendees............... etc. But surprisingly, it went quite well and I managed to finish the class without any mistake. Of course, thanks for the attendees for active participation and co-operations. Anyhow I know there are dead air, boring moment sometimes, but finally, everything goes fine.

It was so excited to be a trainer, for me it's more to an experience sharing moment, I share what I have learnt and also at the same time, listen to their stories. It was fun and interesting. I'm glad that I volunteered to take this chance as the trainer for this month, and I'm appreciate for those who joined my class, for being nice to me~~ hehe!

As a result of the survey, 94% satisfaction, not bad. As a first time CSS trainer, it's just meet my expectation. And from one of the feedback, what he likes the most is: the effort from the trainer. OMG~~ thanks for appreciating my effort, hahahaha! But I also hope that you gain something from the 3 days.

If I have chance to do it again, I'll try, although it's really tiring by standing and talking for 3 days.

By the way, CSS stands for Customer Service Skills. :)

Shila Amzah: An amazing voice

There are lots of shares in my FB walls everyday, including this. I couldn't remember her name at the beginning, although I actually watched a bit of the "One in a Million" singing competition TV show 4 years ago.

Then, I saw her name as "Shila", familiar. And then she is with her tudung now, then it attracted me. When I clicked into the link and watched the video, I was really impressed.

I can't say I'm blown away as exaggerated as the judges. She doesn't shock the audience with her high pitch or tone, but the quality and purity of her voice. She did it steadily in a stable tone that is the thing that impressed me. Like some of the judges said, she doesn't understand the lyrics but she could still express the feeling of the songs.

Maybe the reaction from the judges were a bit over and too much in the show, but I do agree that, she has connection with the audience, and sing into our hearts. She is not there to show off her skills, but to deliver the message and emotion of the songs. And about the judges, I can recognize those from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, and they are all famous singers in Asia so I don't doubt of their qualification of being the judges, btw I like some of their songs too.

However, due to the fact of her background, I really worry that she might not be able to go too much further. Exposure and performance like this has somehow against her religion. Anyhow, as a Malaysian, I'm proud for her to win the competition, to let the people in China, even Asian countries to learn that Malaysia has such a wonderful singer who can sing very well even in the language that she doesn't understand.

Great Job, Shila! And I wish to see you more in the future.

Dinner @ Zakuro

This is the last valid day for the voucher, and luckily I got my friend, San to go with me.
We were late for more than 1/2 hour, I thought we'll lose our booking, and then when I rushed and reached there.......... this was what we saw......... and I knew that we worried too much.... :P

The price, definitely not cheap actually, I came here because of the discount voucher from Groupon. Anyhow, the food is quite nice.

We were there as the one and only customer for more than 1/2 hour after we entered. And the staffs were watching 2 crazy girls busy taking pictures instead of eating. Don't blame us, it's the 'trend' nowadays.... hahaha! I felt quite weird also....

Thanks Little Panda (Sanさん) for coming here with me. Although it was quite a long journey but I really enjoyed our dinner today.

The 'illogical' spiderman

The Amazing Spider-man: Official Website

First about the cast, I agree that the main character is more good-looking, look smarter, more charming, better body shape and height. But for the story itself, there are too many illogical scenes in the movie, which some of them too obvious that I really can't just ignore.

You may be curious why Hulk could get back into his pants even though he became twice or even 3 times bigger than his original size when he transformed and after he became normal. And now you may want to question why the "Lizard"-man always with his coat on when he's back to human, but just naked when he's Lizard.

Other questions might be: when spiderman could hide his mobile phone in his tight spiderman suit; How come he could always find his school bag while sometimes I just thought that it's lost somewhere during the fight; How Peter could make his own spiderman suit as it never said that he could sew, and obviously that suit was not can just be made by needles and threads easily, the material also is a problem; After Peter got bitten, by right the spiderweb should be come out from his hand (it's what stated in the previous version also), but how come it seems that it's from the device that he made now? And also the mysterious lab, a place should be in high security, how come can just let a little college guy entered using other people's pass, and easily entered into a secret lab like this? It doesn't look like they have security system at all......

OK, forget about the fact error and the logic part of the movie. From the story itself, the part I like is about Peter's guardian Uncle Ben and his wife. And I feel more sad when I saw Uncle Ben got killed, Peter could have just saved his life if he wasn't that arrogant.

Actually I didn't get what I expected throughout the movie as well. Such as more story about Peter's parent's death, what is actually happened to them. Also how Dr. Connor lost his right arm? What is actually hidden in Peter's father's research? ...........

This new Spiderman, I can say that quite disappointed, other than the main character, action and effect, there's nothing much I would prefer than the previous one.

Your business on web

Nowadays when you login to your community website such as Facebook or Twitter, have you found any catchy pictures at the side and you can't get your eyesight away from them? As internet marketing is getting more and more popular now, many companies choose to put their advertisement online. Website has become another medium for them to promote their products or service and also get connection with their potential customers. Who knows you may just get attracted by one of the picture and decided to click on it, and then you will be re-directed to another webpage, and from that website you find something you want...... that's how web marketing works.

As the way of doing advertisement is also improving now, you don't really put in a lot of pictures or context to make your ads attractive. You can see those ads which catched your attention, they can just a simple pictures, and the wordings are so small, but still, if they put it in the correct way, these ads could help to the advertiser to get their customers. See how to write attention-grabbing ads from Jasmine's blog.

In Jasmine's blog about business and advertising (http://blog.jasminedirectory.com/), they will share many tips on how to do your advisement wisely and properly so that you can pay lesser cost and get the most returns.

My ITIL Class

ITIL, heard of it years ago, and seems a very great name. Especially after many of my friends have attended it and they seemed proud of it also.... so... that's why, I was quite excited when I knew that I had a chance to join the course, together with some anxiety of course.

The course was taken place in a not really remarkable hotel, Shah's Village Hotel at Petaling Jaya. I missed the junction twice when I first drove to the place. And because of this training, I had another chance to take public transports: komuter train and LRT. It's been a long time since I visited KL Sentral, and I realized that it doesn't have much changes. But the komuter train really impressed me, the service has improved a lot, but hopefully they kept it consistently and continuously.

As usual, I met different people from different companies, states even country (one from Qatar) in the class. But something very strange, this time, I never take any contact from those I don't know. From my last experience, our connection and interaction actually just ended after the course, even if I added them into my FB, it won't make any difference, I believe.

Anyhow, I really enjoyed the class. And one good thing about having training is: you won't feel hungry. They will not only serve you lunch, but also morning tea break and afternoon tea break. That's what I like during training time also.

About the exam.................................... allow me to say......................... I have > 90% to pass, but still I reserve another 10% for ........ just in case.

Santhia, Donavan, Sean, Aida, Aidi, Yvonne..... although I didn't get any contact from you, I'm still glad to have you as my classmate during the 3-day training time. And I really enjoyed chatting with you, listened to what you have experienced and what you are doing. I believe that we could have chance to meet again in the future. Bless You All!! And wish that we will all pass our exam! Yey~~!

Dragon Boat Festival 端午节

It's another year of the Dragon Boat Festival. Actually from the English name itself many people might think that this festival is only for Dragon Boat racing. But actually it's "Duan Wu" in Mandarin and it's on the 5th day of the 5th month in lunar calendar.

For me, I think many of the my generations and later, it's a festival for eating dumpling (粽子). My mum can make very nice dumplings, but hasn't passed the skill to me yet, maybe someday I could take some time to learn from her? (that somebody is......................)

IBM Team Building @ PD

After 6 years in RCC, this is the first time I'm invited to the team building from IBM. I had a chance to be together with those managers, and regular employees, joined in a team, played the same activity.

I would say it's a lifetime experience for me. When it was my first time going to 200M away to the ocean, and it's my first time being a 'guide' leading and guiding the blind-folded manager (Dear Ms. Halida~~), and also doing water rafting, not only row the raft, but also involved in making the raft together with my teammates.

It was quite a fun when we made up the team, designed a team name, drew the flag, and also created a battle cry:

1 plus 9, 10!
5 plus 5, 10!
Who are we?
Re~~~~d Jumbo!

Haha~~ it sounds childish and funny, but it really brought us back to our school time, when we were in the school camp or what. It's been quite long since my last remembered moment of this.

I didn't take any picture for the water rafting, because I was one of the participants I couldn't hold my own camera. But there were other cameras shotting us, hopefully I didn't look very bad in the photos... :P

Despite the happiness and enjoyable moment that I had from the journey, I think it was my first time going trip without having enough 'supplies'... what a shame about that! Although I could 'survive' at last, but it was just so inconvenient at the beginning, and I didn't even imagine it could happen to me at the first place until I realized it at the very last minute! OMG~~~!

Nevertheless, I really wish that I could have chance to attend such a wonderful team building event again in the future~~

Facebook Security

News (In Chinese): 新闻:少女無端成“援交妹”‧面書遭盜用‧社交網站變禍害

If you own a facebook account, and you don't really update it or even access it, please be careful and actually
it would be better for you to delete the account because it seems you don't really need it.

Nowadays there are hackers everywhere, the victim in the news above, she didn't aware that the hacker used her account to publish some message that she is the compensated dating girl, they published her contact number, even the 'price' of each 'service'. And the worst thing is, the owner didn't even notice about it. Until one day she found that how come her friends list suddenly reduced so much (got unfriended), and then after she received a call from her boyfriend then only he realized thing goes serious.

You know what, these hackers, they can use your account to post something from you, and you NEVER know about it. They hide the post from the owner, that's why you won't realize actually you posted something bad on your wall. I also realized that previously some of my friends had posted a link to the porn message or videos, I didn't really knew that they were 'interested' in such thing, then I checked with them and screenshot the post to them, then only they found that their accounts were hacked!

Scary huh? So friends, if you see me posting something 'fishy' or 'weird' in FB, please remind me, since I may not aware of it myself. And the most important thing is: DON'T BELIEVE IT!! I never interested in something bad (or porn).

In the news, the victim said that they have reported this to the Facebook Admin a few times but the same thing happened again and again. It seems that it's also something out of their control.

Now I've made it a habit to change my password from time to time, but still I know there are many "holes" for them to get in, but at least I've done the most I could.

Medical consultation in social network

When the communication medium in the world has changed nowadays, many people are using social network like Facebook, Twitter and so on to communicate with each others, some even find professional consultation via these networks, for example, medical and educational consultation.

However, security and privacy is still the major concern. Getting contacts with the experts from these media is easier and more convenient of course, but how to ensure that the person that contacts with you is the real experts? They could be somebody from nowhere, pretend to be experts and give you incorrect information.

So the thing that you need most, is the secure and trustworthy website which people can protect their privacy and at the same time, seeking proper consultation from the real experts. Doximity is one of them and you may refer to the profile of Gary Rath, MD for their identity and information. Now you can trust them for medical consultation.

Dinner @ Bistro Cascata

This is my second visit here, an Italian restaurant in Cyberview Lodge Resort.

It actually happened when one of us wanted to have meal in Cyberjaya, preferably steak. Then we chose this place, but at the end, nobody ordered any steak. And ended up half of us were not really satisfied with the food (not me, coz I like my Aglio Olio so much, :P).

One of the most "unique" thing about this restaurant is the price. Not cheap for sure, and usually people will only come once in a long while or during any celebrating event. For us.... nothing really had anything to celebrate, so... just as a welcome dinner for Shiho-san? or just a nice treat after pay day (still less than 1 week~~)?

Anyhow, I did have a great time with them.

A day with old friends

An old friend of mine came back to Malaysia for 1 week, she found me in FB and invited me and another friend to come out for dinner.

It's been long time since we last met, I can't even remember when. While 3 of us had worked in the same area before (different time and different companies) there were loads of memories for us to flash back.

This time, we had another member joining our gathering too. And because of their status changed, we have another topic to chat -- childcare. haha! Even though both A Ling & I are still single, but we really learn a lot from our nephews.

We have been friends for 20 years, it never be easy, so I really cherish the moment we have and treasure our friendship. I wish that we could be like this, meeting each other from time to time in the coming 30, 40 even 50 years.

Due to privacy concern, the photo is edited, but do you still can tell who is who? :P

Self-grooming and make-up

I don't know why it's called a 'course' but actually I did sign up for a few courses of facial treatment since the past few years. Actually I know nothing about facial, I don't even make up, and quite a beginner in self-grooming. What I do is just try to make myself look neat and tidy (not pretty), that's all. So you won't see me with my well-trimmed eyebrows all the time (if you do, that means at least a few days ago I went to saloon), and I'm always with my 'original' face without any chemicals on, unless I'm going to a dinner or special occasion. That's why, whenever people see me with make-up on to work or to some ordinary occasion like gathering or class, they will be shocked! For me, either it's too good or too bad, I know how the worst face look as, so I'm really scared of doing makeup for myself.

I know it's not good for a lady who doesn't know how to do self make-up, I think it should be a basic skill for most of the female, even young school girls can do a smokey eyes, some of those who I saw on the street, are almost make over already, transformed into a different person. Maybe I should join some beauty school like Regency Beauty to learn how to do make-ups and also groom myself. And hopefully by then, I don't need to sign up for saloon course anymore.

This blog post was based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com or contact Regency Beauty Institute – 3583 Alpine Avenue NW – Walker, MI 49544

The Avengers: Gathering of heroes

Marvel's Avengers Official Website

I've seen some comments from my friends that this movie is not really that good. However, after I watched the movie, I really enjoyed it and think that it's really great. See, if you want to watch so many action heroes together in one movie, some of them might be lost in focus, but it's just quite good that everyone have their shares of the scenes. Some might think that Ironman may take the major role, but you see, he's not the first one who appeared, and at the end he also needs to listen to the command from Captain America.

Frankly, I really don't know who is the Black Widow and the archer. For that archer, I even saw he was called "Legolas" in one of the scene, from the subtitle. And from his action, it reminds me of the cute archer in "Lord of the Rings", his name also Legolas. Of course I agree that archers are smart, but it's hard to be a single hero, because their arrows are limited, and the problem is, they can't be reused.

When you think that if all the heroes are working together to save the world, not a single alien could attack the earth. But, that's just the problem: they can't work together. Every hero has their own character, own style and own skill, how are they able to cooperate and work together? So it's what happen to this movie, they had conflict and fought with each other, at the first battle, they were separated and lost.

At the end of the movie, it seems that the Captain America has taken the commander role, but still all of them have used their own power to fight back the aliens. It sounds so "cartoon" and funny but it's how it goes.

Good thing about this movie is, we can still see some funny scenes from it, audiences laughed at certain scenes, and it really helped to make this movie more interesting.

I would rate this movie a 4 star out of 5. I can see that they are going to make the episode 2 of this movie, but their enemy is already an alien this time, so what would be the next? another species of alien? I'll see that.

Gathering + Housewarming

It's been quite long time since our last gathering, some of them I even didn't see for years. For some of us, it's our 6th year since we knew each other, pretty long isn't it? And I really treasure the friendship that we have, and also appreciate that we can still keep contact with each other, still able to sit together in a table and chit-chatting.

Some of the topics that we chatted were quite 'wild', it actually reminded us of our last housewarming at Susan's house years ago. The 'truth and dare' that we were playing, and it was wild, also. Things that we shared were big, but of course, it didn't go deep enough to reveal too much 'truth'. Some started 'deep' after a few glasses of wine, and the rest just tried to put on their shield. You know, you can't be too confident about yourself to believe that you have the power to get other people to tell you everything, for what we define as "secret".

Still, I enjoyed the moment we had at the night. But unbelievable that I didn't take a single photo with my camera, it's rarely happened to me before, as you know, I like to shot, shot, shot whatever I see, especially after I played with blogs and fbs. I respect their privacy, so all the memories are just in our minds. I really wish that everybody had a great time.

Thanks Joce for your invitation and your great arrangement. And Mrs. Goh, really enjoyed talking to you that night, and you are more than just 'the wife of my ex-colleague', hopefully we can meet each other again soon. Ian & Isabelle, good to play with you, I really believe that I'm good with kids... :P And for the rest, thanks for your time and sharing, wishing you a great future and happy life.

Effect of Depression

The advanced technology nowadays doesn't really help to build up human's psychological quality. Technology can't help to reduce the stress, also can't help on human's mental development. Therefore, you will see many people are seeking psychological consultation or even treatment from the experts. But there is also a risk, some medication will bring your sickness from mental to physical, not only affects your mentality, but also your health, cause you a permanent damage.

Some antidepressants may effect on birth defects, including damage on heart, lung, brain and spinal cord, also some other parts in the patient's body. There are some cases are brought to the court, such as Effexor Lawsuit is on-going now. If you are also suffering from it, don't worry, there are many experts will help you to overcome it and claim for your compensation.

Lousy driver

It's provoking and maddening. Some bastard driver who being so careless that caused my dad to fall from the bike, and then only paid RM30 for compensation! My dad went to the clinic nearby and paid RM50 for the medication, he still lost RM20!!

It's too bad my dad didn't take down the fella's phone number and car plate number, otherwise I would have called and asked him to pay for all these!

The other reason also because my dad didn't feel anything bad after the accident, and he still rode here and there for a few hours until he came back home in the evening. And when he came back, he asked me if I'm free on the next day to bring him to hospital for a more detailed check-up. I was a bit shocked when hearing that he actually fell down from the bike and got himself hurt, now feeling quite painful at collarbone side. Without hesitating, I decided to ask brother to drive us to the nearest government hospital rightaway, he would have a terrible pain if he waited until the next day.

Good thing is, after seeing the doctor and x-ray scanning, it's just a small scratch on the bone, no severe injury. They treated his wound on the back on his left hand, and also his left leg.

But still, he was terribly suffered from the intense pain at night, any single movement will cause a sharp of stinging pain. He couldn't even move from one position to another, even after he took the pain killer. It went better on the next day, and now he's not feeling that painful anymore, but he still feels painful when he lies down on the bed and tries to get up. It gives the pressure to his arm and shoulder, which will cause the pain to his collarbone.

I don't know which bastard was it who did this, but I really really want to warn those samseng drivers or young drivers, be more careful on the road, it's not only your lives are hanging there, but also you are threatening other people's lives. Now my dad is suffering but where is the fella now?? Will he feel guilty by doing this? I just feel angry as can't do anything more to help.

Just wish that my dad will recover very soon.

Awakening

I didn't know that I had so many friends going on the street for rally, until I really saw their photos from FB.

Yes, people nowadays have more awareness of their surroundings and living. Who said that youngsters don't care about politics? It's not only political issue, but also tightly related to ourselves, our lives and our future.

But unfortunately, we saw a more awakening and caring group of people, but not the authorities. We feel so offended and disappointed when seeing those who aimed to the people whom they are supposed to protect, and helpless when seeing they themselves are actually covered by the authorities, and helped them to tell a different story.

They didn't know that, this time, it's different from 709 last year. That time, many people just read the news and saw the photos from the internet, some may say that the photos and videos were edited, it's not telling the truth. But this time, people were walking on the street by themselves, witnessed every moment with their own eyes, even suffered from the tear gases and water cannon by their own. Not from any other media, not a story from somebody. It's their own experience, their own stories. Who would tell the lies? They thought people are idiot again?

Anyhow, I believe that most of the people had already known what's happening here. No need any so called "further investigation", that's the thing that I don't believe. People will tell the authorities what they think and how they react.

Medical Communications

Nowadays due to people are having unhealthy lifestyle and some genetic diseases, many people are seeking for medical attention. However, it doesn't mean that the medical treatment is 100% safe. As you read the newspaper, you'll find that there are many medical mistakes happened and some caused permanent injury, or even death.

Just forget about the consequences of the mistake, many studies showed that, more than half of the medical mistakes were caused by the miscommunications among the doctors. So it's very important to have a proper communication platform and channel that allows the doctors to communicate more conveniently and of course, safely and trustworthy. Alan Howell MD is built because of this, and it allows the doctors to communicate in different medium with full security. So with the proper communication it helps to reduce the medical mistakes and also save more lives.

Just something......

Really don't know how to describe this...
We are trying to be nice, trying to get rid of all the negative thoughts that we have on her previously.
Trying to be fair to everybody.
But still, she's the one who ruins everything.
Who starts the conflicts here, who talks differently here, who shouts at first?
OK, you said it's just a joke, sorry I don't get it.
I know even we have some disagreement sometimes, but at least we will find a way to compromise, we find a better communication way to work things out, we all work together to put ourselves on the same level of understanding.
Yes, it's not all about compromising, but understanding.
And too bad, I don't really see this in her.
We don't 'joke' the way you 'joke', we don't think the way you think, we don't say the way you say...

So, we are not in the same world.

Big Mangoes

These mangoes are from the mango tree behind my house, the tree is more than 20 years old now and it's still blossom and bear fruits. The branches of the tree have been cut down once, and then got worms attack until all the fruits are infected, but still, after all these years, it survives and it bears bigger fruits. Not bad huh? Those Indonesian ladies bought fruits from us, of course much much more cheaper than market, it's just we don't really put too much costs on it too, at least it's better than being stolen, right?

Some of my colleagues tried it and some said taste nice, of course we can't guarantee how it tastes, just... depends on your luck sometimes. But still, I feel grateful for the tree to survive and the fruits that it gave us.

Good time

I think I've ever expecting my training so much like this before.

Every month before the training, I felt like resistant to it. How I wish the training could be canceled so that I don't need to face the people and be so tired. Or I would say, I prefer to be alone and work on my own.

However, surprisingly, I really like them. I admitted that I'm not a good trainer at all. I don't think I have an effective training programme, and I have no confidence that I would impress them and get the good result. Moreover, whenever I saw those agents who had joined my training before appeared in the resignees list, I felt so bad and upset, although I understand that it's nothing to do with me, but still, somebody you have put so much effort to share things with them (I won't use the words 'train' coz I'm not a good trainer at all), at the end they chose to leave.

Of course there were also funny moments during the training. And actually I never really had a hard time in the training, even there were different kinds of people in the room, some of them were quite challenging, but still, I managed to handle it -- with 'backup' sometimes.

And this time, not many attendees, only 5 of them. But still, I really like their reactions and participations in the class. When I saw them laughed at my jokes, responded with their comments, focused on what I said, asked questions when they had....... those all encouraged me to move on and gave me more spirit and energy to keep myself up.

I realized that one tip to make effective training moment is that, put yourself into their world. Join them, use their languages, be their friends or peers instead of trainer, make them comfortale to speak out, laugh with you, chat with you. It's how you can reduce the distance between each other, and then, when they accept you as one of them, you'll have funnier and more interesting moments together. Not only to them, but also to the trainer themselves. It's the same what Alia found out during her CSS training too. Be their friend, not their 'teacher' (or trainer).

Anyhow, I can't expect what feedback they will gave me in the survey. Although I could sense that they're having a good time, but it may not be reflected to the survey feedback. Nonetheless, I have tried my best to work things out, I have no regrets, just hope that the feedback won't be too bad, that's all.

明日頑張ってね~~!

It's just difficult...

We have been trying to be nice to everybody. We don't have any prejudice against anyone. I'm keep reminding myself to put my personal feeling aside and be fair to her, be good to her, be friendly to her, but it's her personality that pushes us away.

She thinks differently, she acts differently, she says differently. All the differences that she has have become an obstacle between us, which is very hard for us to get through. I admit that we others have conflicts sometimes, but still, we care, we share, we talk, we work together, we compromise. The same thing doesn't work when dealing with her.

There are different background, even different nationality among us. But still, we manage to find a way that can pull us together, we work in a way where everybody is accepting and comfortable with it. And only for her, it seems like nothing works. What can we do? I don't know.

I miss my boss so much, especially when there are many difficulties around.

And for her, it's just................. difficult.

Sick~~~~

I had tongue ulcer for 3 days already, still not recovered. And today I 'pandai2' go and eat tomyam, extra spicy (dunno what's wrong with the chef... ><) and then went to buy a cup of riched cappuccino. After a bowl of spicy tomyam soup and a glass of warm thai tea, and then I forced myself to finish the cappuccino in just not longer than one hour just tried to finish it before I went for coaching and it would get cold.............................

Then, I saw the outcome 5 minutes later, stomach too full until it 'overflowed'..... and then my stomach cramped until now. T_T

I couldn't eat mum-cooked dinner, so I just made porridge myself. This is the first time I made porridge by my own, and it ends up looked like rice still.... and I just put a bit salt, so of course it's tasteless. The cubes on top are the pickled lettuce, at least I could get some taste.

And now, I feel hungry again, and the worst, sorethroat. Everything comes together until I really don't think I can still go to class tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get better tomorrow..... what's wrong with me~~~~!

Business Web Directory

Due to the economic changes nowadays, more and more people had chose to run their own business instead of being salaried workers. It's always not easy to start a business, especially when dealing with many competitors in the market, you need to find a most efficient way to promote your business and also find the prospective customers which might yet to be found by the others.

People are changing their business method and marketing plans now, in this new era, besides promoting their business in the community websites, they will also choose to put their company website links into the business web directory. They need to get more exposure so that their company names can be seen and found easily by the public, and from there let their potential customer find them from a safe and proper channel.

The business web directory is 100% SEO friendly, they have a system and mechanism to help you to improve your visibility from a search engine, and therefore help you to reach your customers more easily and quickly. Also, it's W3 css and HTML valid, you don't need to worry about the broken links, just submit your links and you can rely on them to do the rest.

One of the special features that they have is the automatic thumbnail feature, they will put a catchy picture as a thumbnail to your website to gain people's attention, and attract them to click on the thumbnail. As there are thousands of ads on different major websites, you need to be outstanding or distinguished in order to strengthen your competitive ability among the others.

Also, you can have 5 deep URLs to link to different products specifically, so for certain customers, they can click into something that they want directly without looking for the right link from the homepage.

Angry Birds Cupcakes

I found this from the bazaar at Streetmall, Cyberjaya (map). It was sold by one Malay lady on her very little table. The bazaar is only available twice per week (which I forgot which day actually... :P) so you won't find it everyday.

The taste is just so so but I admire their creativity and sense of trends. Of course there are other bakeries are selling angry birds cake, cookies but still I like their idea and concept of it. Cup cakes are only one of the bakery products she sells, others like carrot cakes, kuih also available. But then, only this impressed me. hehe~~ wanna have a try?

You need a blind?

I still remember the time when I first moved into this new office building a few years ago, windows are from ceiling to the floor, and they are everywhere: both sides of the walls, both wings of the building. We could have direct sunbathing at day time and nice night view during night time. It made our office looked brighter and wider no doubt of that, but the problem is, when it's too bright, it affects our eyesight because we are looking at our computer monitors all the time.

Later on, blinds are set on the walls. As it just blocks some of the bright daylight from the window, we feel more comfortable when working with our computers, and at the same time, we won't feel stuffy and still able to see the view out to the building through the blinds. I'm glad that they use the blinds instead of windows or curtains which will either block all or none of views from outside. Also, blinds are easier to clean and maintain.

There is only one thing that I think is not perfect, which is blinds may not be suitable in a meeting room as we are quite difficult to look at the projected screen even with the blinds pulled down. However I think it's just we need to choose a different blinds which is suitable to be used in a meeting room.

If you are staying in UK, you may find Venetian Blinds which suits the needs of your room. Their variety of designs and materials will impress you, and also with reasonable charges. Try to use blinds instead of curtains to make your house look different.

An old time gift

Just when I was doing some house-keeping, I found this. It was given by one of my friend, and I kept it until that day, I decided to throw it.

No doubt it's already expired long long time ago, even the things inside had become hard. Anyhow, it reminds me of a friend that's so caring and it was actually given when I was having a bad cough that time. I'm still grateful for the friend and I'll keep our friendship in my heart forever.

Back to blogging

It's been quite some time since my last blog advertising. One reason is because I have been busy with my works, and then after the well-knowned community website is so popular nowadays, I spend most of my time updating my status, playing games, sharing photos and so on, until I rarely update my own blog.

So it's time for me to come back to my world now. Many may not realize that actually blogging is a way to keep yourself communicating with your friends, and those you know from blogwalking. This is a platform for you to share everything without hassle, you can write anything and everything much more longer than just a status message, and you don't need to worry about your message will be flooded by all other status updates from your friends.

The best part is, you can help others to do advertising and get rewards from that. Recently when I just google around looking for blogging opportunities, I found this wonderful website to blog and earn at the same time. How cool is it huh? So please stay with me, I'll come back here and try to share as much as I could with you.

Remembering Whitney

This is really a shocking news, when I received the SMS at my phone. I knew that she was suffering from drugs and alcohol, but didn't expect her to leave so fast. She used to be a great singer, until she almost failed her performance in her concert in 2010. Anyhow, she is still holding a best selling record which is unbreakable, and the name that cannot be replaced.

R.I.P Whitney!

=================================================================

p/s: this is a song that has inspired me the most from her:

Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

"Greatest Love Of All"

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Everybody's searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me

[Chorus:]
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

[Chorus]

And if, by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

Expensive transfer

After a half-an-hour time standing and sweating in the hot burning post office in cyber, at the end my $$$ still flew away~~~~

This is the very first time I tried WU to transfer $$$ to another country. I thought it's just easy and not expensive. I was suggested to use WU. And then I visited their website and knew that actually the service is available in post office. And then when I went there, they asked me to fill up a form, with a copy of my photostated IC. And then, they said their operation hour is until 5pm during working days. And then when I used up my working time to visit the post office, they charged me almost the same amount as how much I transferred. what the.............................****! That means it's doubled up of the amount that I would transfer! What kind of service charge is that???

I called their support line, and the little poor English girl couldn't even speak English properly (wonder which country she's from?) and didn't really get my question properly at the beginning. (Really a poor active listening problem.) Until I almost lost my patience in the call, and then as I really didn't like she had a pause between "Ms" and my name (it sounds like she wrote my name somewhere and whenever she wanted to address my name she had to look at it again... =.=). When you keep calling somebody's name and then followed by your words in strong tone, it sounds like you are forcing the other party to listen to you and accept your point.... ok, I'm loosing my words, sentence articulation problem.... the conclusion is, I really don't like the experience, no matter it's from the EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE service charge, or the helpdesk. (OK, now I sounds like I'm a QA to them and doing her CQM..........)

I have no choice but to proceed as they said since all the form had been submitted, I couldn't take back my service charge (and actually I hadn't paid anything yet that moment). And then the receiver emphasized that it's very urgent...

OK, what's done is done. Let bygones be bygones. I'm not going to feel "miserable" with the $$$ that I've paid. And this should be the ONE and ONLY time for me to use this service. Or at least, I'll find another better and cheaper way to make my transfer if necessary.

I can hear my pocket is crying now............................................. T_T

Lesson learned: Do all the research and find all the information before you take action.

Happy Dragon Year 2012 and Birthday To me~~

Thank you very much for your greetings and wishing on my special day in 2012.

This year my birthday falls on the third day of Chinese New Year (年初三) so actually either my friends were still on holiday or started work already. Anyhow, I think thanks to FB, I still received a lot of wishes. Although it might be just a click without any further effort needed, but I would like to thank all my friends who were willing to click on my wall and left me a message, I really appreciated that.

OK, this cake is a gift from my brother, the smiley face has covered a flaw... but it doesn't matter, I still love it. I was kinda emotional during the day by just having a lunch at food court. But then I feel grateful since I'm still with my family, hanging around with them, watching movie with them (MI4~~!), it's the most precious moment that not everyone could have.

And the one happier than me, of course is my little boy boy (nephew). He was over excited since he knew that we had a cake at home, his favourite. And he couldn't wait for us to finish our dinner before the cake-cutting session, kept shouting around, chasing everyone to finish the food. And then, as his wish, we sang birthday song and I blew off the candles with him, together. It's the warmest moment to see his happy and cheerful face, it's the best birthday present to me.

My wish for the year: Everyone I know is healthy, happy and wealthy in their life and forever! (Actually I forgot to make my wish before blowing the candles, but I think God would know my wish with the moment I treasure when I saw all the happy faces around me. Thank God they're here with me.)

hiatus hernia

In 2012, I learned another term, hiatus hernia.
ok, it's another strange thing on me, which I really have no idea what is it except panicking me.
Endoscope has diagnosed what is happening to my stomach, good news is, I don't have any stomach ulcer. But then I was told of this totally unknown to me.
Anyhow, the doctor told me it's not serious at all, although I don't really trust his face............. it's still worrying me unless the pain go out of me.
No heavy lifting, no too sour or too spicy food, no coffee :'( , no cabbage, no long beans.............. OMG~~ then what can I eat? my question is, can it be cured?
Actually the most 'painful' thing came to me was when I saw the bill.............. T_T
OK, as what Chinese says, “花钱买个安心”, at least I know that I don't have any serious problem, and Thank God I'm still considered healthy.

Boy Boy first day in Kindergarten

Boy Boy finally go to kindergarten. He joined at 5yo so he only studies 2 years.

First day of school, no cries, no scares, no shouts. Just a curious face looking around at his 'classmates' who were crying and shouting aloud for mommy. One boy was sobbing on his chair, one didn't allow his mom to leave..... all adults were crowding outside of the classrooms. Not only the little boys and girls, but also the adults were so excited (including me of course... haha!).

For him, he's considered 'stable' and calm. As a super-active boy like him, he actually can't sit still in a space for more than 30 mins, but glad that he could settle himself in the class for 2 hours (lesser hours for 'orientation' day, normal school time is 3 hours).

It's a good start and I wish he can enjoy his schooling time in the future.

Thank you Gift -- Thanks HL !!

I received a few gifts at year end, christmas, new year (I take it as a new year gift, or end-of-year gift? haha)......

Our big sister (she doesn't want us to call her 'boss'... :p ) bought each of us a 'cute' USB flash drive, and in return, we gave her a limited edition one from Kingston. No no, I'm not trying to do a commercial here, it's just because this brand has the most different designs and it's the only major brand which has limited edition flash drives every year, actually, I collected all of them in recent years... hehe

Thanks for my teammates as we work, play and chat together all the time, thanks for the support, caring and sharing from our 'big sister' throughout the year 2011, and I'm looking forward to work with you gals again in 2012.

And Gomathi, I'm so glad to work with you and we'll be here waiting for you to come back to us. Have a joyful new year!

Happy New Year 2012

Here comes another cherish year of 2012~~!! Happy new year my dear friends!!

I changed to a new role in 2011, instead of sitting at the frontline, I'm now going backend, doing QA and training. I'm glad that I have met a team of nice and cheerful people, a more comfortable and less hectic environment, although there are still something not doing well within teams and different people, but I'm cherish for everything that I've learnt, it's what money can't buy.

For my family, we are still happy with our little one. He has learnt a lot in speaking, he started babbling at the beginning and making some not meaningful voices, but now he can speak quite well and know how to express his feeling, and quite fast response too. He'll go to kindergarten in just a few days, I wish for his happy learning and making a lot of friends there.

Last year, there are many sad things happened, earthquake and tsunami in Japan, flood in Thailand, etc. So I wish for a more peaceful and safe year ahead. No more natural disasters, no more pain, no more suffers.

Wishing all your dreams come true and happiness with health always!
