The best beauty school

If you go to shopping malls nowadays, what kind of shops you see is growing a lot? For me, I see more and more nail shops and beauty saloons are opened everywhere. This business has not only giving the new business opportunities to new youngsters, but also giving more opportunities to the consumers to choose their best beauticians to take care of their look.

Due to the business opportunities, now you can also find many different beauty schools out there giving training to all the potential beauticians, one of the very best in Nashville cosmetology school is Regency Beauty Institude. Their courses cover the hair, skins and nails which will help their students to learn the professional skills and build up their own business in the future.

Christmas Decos at Kuala Lumpur

This year, I didn't visit to many place, some hot spots like 1U, Sunway Pyramid also I haven't visited and didn't know what their Christmas decos are.

This Christmas, I seldom really walking around the shopping malls. The photo I took at some places like The Gardens, is just a corner of the building. I like the Christmas decos, it's just I feel like I don't have much time to see all of them.

Farewell + Birthday Lunch @ Kitchen Village

We had a farewell + birthday lunch at Kitchen Village this afternoon. One of our colleague, Gomathi is going to have a long leave (LOA) for 6 months.... wow... it's quite long ya?

The QA team, from 3 guys + 1 lady boss until now we have all ladies (or... girls? :P) in the team. I can say we work well together, we share not only workload, but also our friendship. We are more than just a colleague or team mate. Especially my boss to me, she's more like my friend, my mentor and also my sister (sometimes counselor too... :P), we share almost everything in our work and personal lives. How would I ever expect to be so close with my boss before I joined the team?

And my team now, is going "international": 3 Malaysians with 2 different races, 1 Thai, 1 Indonesian and 1 Japanese. Cool huh? And what we call this? 1 Malaysia? haha! But since all of them have been staying in Malaysia for so long, they are becoming Malaysian now.

Now one of our team member will have a long leave next year, I can't imagine how much workload we could have after that. But I believe that we are going to work well together.

Good Luck, Gomathi! And your seat is always reserved for you.
and also, Happy Birthday, Leau~~ (I bet if u can see it though... ahhaa)

p/s: about the restaurant... actually the food is nice but quite expensive, so we just came here when there's a special occasion, or guess visit... maybe?

A surprised greeting from my neighbour

As I said before, I have a very strange neighbour. They were nice at the beginning and talked to us before they moved in. And one day during their renovation, the lady's dad and my dad somehow had something unhappy happened within, and after my dad complained when he came back home, we realized that the relationship as a neighbour has broken between us. Actually I don't know what happened, the most innocent for me is, I didn't even say a single word with anyone of them.

We never talked to each other for more than a year, not even a single greeting. We pretend not to see each other although we meet everyday. Both of our families have babies at home, I'm a bit worried about how the young ones are going to get along with each other in the future.

Just this morning, when I was hanging clothes, I heard somebody talked to me. I was actually shocked when I saw her and realized that she was talking to me. She told me that their awning has been removed and will be replaced with a new one, the renovation will take about a week, so she is sorry for the dusty or our room may get wet when it rains.Believe me, I was really surprised when she said that to me, and she looked nice with smiley face when talking to me and I almost forgot that we never talked to each other before. And in fact, this is the very FIRST time we talked. So of course, I responded with a BIG SMILE together with "Nevermind!" "no worries!".

I never thought that we could have conversations with each other, so this has really made my DAY~~ I'm not sure what's gonna happen from today onwards but I really hope that this can be the "break the ice" between our families, I don't want to let the 3rd generations in our family become strangers afterall.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

This is what the little boy-boy is crazy about -- the "bei dou you".

Don't get confused what is that. It's just simple, the full sentence is "Happy Birthday to you", but he can only pronounce the last 3 sounds, inaccurately.

After his 4th birthday last August, he has noticed about we sing birthday song while eating cake. But he has no idea what birthday is, and we usually only have a whole cake on birthday. So after that, he always asked anyone of us to buy him a "bei dou you" even though it's nobody's birthday.

My mum is not really fancy about birthday cake on her big day, but just because of getting everybody (esp. the little one) happy, I still bought a cake for her, and in fact we never missed any in the past.

OK, the candle wasn't blown by mum.... :P it's the little excited one who did it. Many people said, birthday is for you to celebrate with the one who brought you to this world, i.e. your mum. But for my mum, it's for me to show my gratitude to her, for taking care of the family, for dedicating her life and everything to us.

Happy Birthday, MOMMY!
Thanks for your love, your care and everything.
I LOVE YOU!

Murder of DJ's mum

It was really shocked when I first read the news from paper. "Malaysian famous DJ from Chinese radio station", and the victim was called "Mrs. Tan". Then obviously the name of the DJ came out from my mind. The first reaction I had was..... WHAT?
Actually he's kind of funny DJ in the station, I watched his acting in CNY movie, I saw him in person when he's hosting a roadshow at Sg. Wang. Although you might see him playing around, but in fact he's really serious to his work and actually quite talented too.
Some rumours are spreading for this news, I know many people are 'curious' about who is the murderer, and the reason why he's killing Royce's mum. Many people who claimed that they know the 'truth', told different stories. But before the investigation is done, all these are just 'rumours'. Yes, there are many question marks above my head too, but it won't change my impression on him.
Hopefully he can relief from the sadness and pain of losing his beloved mum, and RIP Mrs. Tan.

Wedding. Birthday.

I was late to the church wedding. Sat at the back, watched the VCR that they played, listened to the songs they sang. Somehow, I was touched by their spirits and their words. Especially the VCR, I never thought that it's so touching.

After the ceremony ended, I went to see my friend and my 'keilui', Xuan Xuan. The little one is still very small, but really cute, like what we say in Chinese: 娇小玲珑. My friend has been suffering a lot taking care of her, but still I believe that she really grateful as Xuan Xuan is a gift from God.

The bride and groom had a small surprise for my friend at the dinner, they made a video to celebrate her birthday -- exactly the same day on their wedding. And after that she was invited to the stage, and everybody sang Happy Birthday song to her. As I saw from her expression, she's more shocked than surprised... hahaha!

Ian and May have been through a lot before they came together. It's definitely not easy. Despite what I knew about them, I wish that they will live happily ever after. And same to my best friend, I wish for her health, happiness and everything the BEST ever.

Another training ends

It's really tiring conducting a training. Really.

Sometimes you'll feel that you are out of words while you are still saying something.

Now the training I'm doing is about once per 2 months, I can say that I met different group of people everytime.

Some will be very excited involving in your activities, or responding to you. Some are just so quiet that you need to find a way to lift their energy or get them involved. Some, like the person in the current training, keep on challenging you, asking you a lot of questions whenever you said something, and the worst part is, the question is meaningless. Just like for example, what is the difference between 'shit' and 'sheet'? do they have same pronunciation? (faint!) The questions are in Mandarin but the type of questions he asked are just as foolish as this. He's not really trying to learn but playing fool in here.

Actually from what he speaks, he seems like knowing everything, he has experience in call center, he has dealt with difficult callers, he has travelled to European countries and knows foreigners, he checked information from the web all the time...... So for this kind of fella, do you believe he doesn't know what's the difference between 肥 and 胖, or 侵略、侵袭、侵犯, or 字典、词典、辞典…… this is not work-related at all! And sometimes I'll answer him, but most of the time, I'll just tell him, "go google it if you really want to know the answer because it's not used in your work at all."

But still, actually he's only being playful, he got certain skills and knowledge, it's just he makes himself be so arrogant and be the "bighead" among the class, this is what I don't really like him about. Actually the story seems to end after today, at least for the moment. But in the future, if I need to work with him again, it'll be another headache.

Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Attorney

When there is any medical negligence trial, the suitor is usually the patients or their family, and for there are always a team of experienced lawyers willing to give them a hand if they need. But who will help the defendant? Before the case is finalized, both parties also have chance to fight for themselves. Therefore, the defendant also needs an experienced attorney to defend for them. Federal criminal defense attorney George Murphy is there to help you if you need a medicare fraud lawyer. With his over 20 years of experience, you can trust on him to defend for you.

Exploring the way to Shah Alam

Because of Groupon, I 'accidentally' bought a voucher to buy a duo-charger at cheaper price before realizing that actually I need to travel all the way to Shah Alam to redeem. When I found it, I've already paid. So? I have no choice but can only find my way to their warehouse.

Thanks to Google map, actually this is the second time I found my way to a new place. The previous time was driving to Subang Digital Mall, also new place to explore. Anyhow even though I'm using Google map, I still turned into a wrong way after the Persiaran Tujuan. I turned myself into Federal Highway and unfortunately the highway was so jammed and there's no u-turn at all until Nanyang Siang Pau. And after I turned my way back, and enter the right junction, I realized that actually the destination is just 5 minutes away.... T_T And I spent almost 15 mins to half an hour just because of turning to the wrong side.

Now I know how to go Shah Alam, but actually I was lucky that it's not inner part of the town. If that is, I'll still lose my way I believe. And in the warehouse sales, I found another thing: the external DVD-RW. Don't ask me whether it worth it or not, if I really so calculative, my pocket won't be empty right now... T_T

So where will be my next destination?

Short hair

It's definitely not a news at all. After cutting my hair short, although it's still not easy to manage, and I don't really look more beautiful, I found that I'm more free and no longer afraid of sweat.

When my hair was long, I always need to tie it up so that the wetty hair won't stick on my neck, but if I lie down or sleep, I need to untie it again because I'll feel uncomfortable. Troublesome huh?

Good thing of keeping a short hair is, I feel lighter, easier and cooler. But the bad thing is, on the first day I came home, my dad said I look like "aunty", and then my colleagues said I look like little school girl (what an extreme!). OK, at least none of them equals to "ugly" though. So... forget it!

Quality Stencils

For a factory which manufactures high quality products with latest technology, they would certainly need to work with a trustworthy and good performance company. If you are looking for high quality laser stencils, FCT Assembly is definitely the best choice you would ever had. With their over 15 years of experience, you can trust them on their quality products such as SMT Stencils. They use the most advanced laser and material technologies available in the world for smaller components like µBGA, CSP, QFN, and 01005 components. And now they are also having the new SLIC and UltraSLIC stencils, which for sure will impress their customers.

Sleep late again~~

I always tell myself, "I have to sleep early tonight! I have to go on bed before 11pm."
And at the end, where am I now?
Recently I really found that something wrong with my body, and starting to feel scared. Maybe it's just because I always sleep late and sit on the chairs and spend too long in front of the computer. Actually I can say that I'm almost computer-addicted, or more specifically internet-addicted.

There is one saying that, if you want to kill a university student, just cut his/her internet line. I think the same can be done to me... the longest time I'm not online.... not more than a day. It's totally not healthy at all, I know. And I'm trying to find a way to fix it. Trust me. I will. :P

Challenging you

One training just over recently. This time, the trainers are facing a challenge, unresponsive and impolite participants.

They didn't respond to your questions, talk to each other in other language while the trainer was talking in front, not showing any interest in the activities they had, and sometimes even ignored the trainers, or eyed them in a scornful way.

These people are newly hired, some of them have working experience, but either in unrelated field or not performing well. Really not sure how they were accepted at the first place, maybe they have some 'skills' to impress the interviewers during their interviews? Something in common among them are, they are all young, just at their 20's. These people, still new to the corporate world or their previous working experience was just not enough to teach them a lesson. Anyhow we are not the one who lose at the end, we'll see how far they can do. But can you put our futures to these people? I doubt that.

Actos bladder cancer

It was a shocking news yesterday saying that, one in 10 adults will have diabetes by 2030. It's really astonishing because it means 3 new cases in every 10 seconds! For sure you won't want to be one of them.

The other effect is, many patients are seeking different treatment to cure, but unfortunately it's almost impossible to be cured permanently, patients would need to take medicines or under treatment for the rest of their lifes. Also, taking medicine may take risks of side effects. There are cases that many patients got bladder cancer after taking the Actos. If you have friend is suffered from Actos bladder cancer, ask them to seek consultation from actos cancer lawyers. If he or she is a non-smoker who has contracted bladder cancer after taking Actos, contact Watts Guerra Craft LLP today.

Of course the best way is to practice a healty lifestyle, then you won't need to suffer from diabetes.

Another scary night

It's about the same time in the year, almost every year the little boy is attacked by high fever.

He was normal during daytime, but when it comes to night, his body temperature is increasing, it was once up to 40ºC. And the worst happened: he was in a fever fit (info from Wiki).

His body became stiff and the arms and legs started twitching. His eyes opened but no focus, it's like losing conscious. I was terrified when seeing this, dad was holding his body, mum kept rubbing his body with wet towel to cool down his temperature. I asked mum to keep talking to him and get his response. I'm really scared that the heat had damaged his brain.

He was brought to the hospital once in the morning actually, but the paed said it's not a big matter, no need to admit to hospital, just monitor at night and if he's in high fever again just use a wet towel rubbing his body to cool him down. Finally the fits stopped, but his body temperature was still 38ºC. Anyhow, since he has calm down and they decided to bring him back to the hospital for further checking.

Next day evening, we went back to UM Hospital. It's totally not happy to tell but the fact is, this is the place we almost visit every year until we are familiar with it. We know how to walk from the ward to cafe, and car park, although it's usually a few blocks away.

The little boy was staying in the hospital for overnight under observation. There is a new block for children's ward, and we almost got ourselves lost in the building. As usual, mum and sis were staying overnight with boy-boy together, and we were busy packing from the house and back to hospital again. Until I finally back home it's almost 3am.

He's back home now, stable and normal. His body temperature never increased when he was in the ward. Doctor said according to their record, boy-boy never had fits in the hospital. OK, so does he mean that it's my house problem?

Anyhow, I'm glad that the whole family can have a good night sleep finally. My mum's thumb was hurt as he bit it when my mum tried to feed him medicine at the night when he was having fits. Until now I can still remember the scary moments. I understands so I don't mind if he pushed me away at home and shouted "don't want yi-yi~!" (actually I never really get bothered, :P he's like a king in my house). He can still shout and scream, that means he's ok. I was relieved when I saw his smiling face and laughters. It is really terrifying to imagine that you may lose his lovely smile.

Thank god he's alright, and thanks for everyone who has taken care of him~!!

Visit to Taiping (26-Oct-2011)

Actually I can't say it's a trip to Taiping, because going to 'touch' the fortune tortoise is the only purpose of this trip, and along the way we visited a few places. Of course, it's a kind of "aunty trip" again.

We started our journey at 6am in the morning, so I was still in my dreamland on the bus until we reached our first destination, the charcoal factory. So don't ask me where is it, the only thing I can tell is it's really deep inside a huge palm garden. Which means that, without a guide, it's quite impossible for a stranger to enter alone. Most of the visitors there got their own 'lucky charcoal', for me I just grabbed a small one as a souvenir. :P
Here's a video uploaded by a local traveling agency about this place:
Our next destination, is a temple, also quite deep inside and far away from town. What so special about the temple is they have a "18 level of hell". But we didn't visit there because it doesn't feel 'lucky' to go to he**, although it's just show you some info and art work. I just donated some money and rang the bell 3 times for best fortune.

I found 1 video uploaded by a traveling agency about this place:

We had our lunch at Kuala Gula, a small restaurant and actually at a not so many people are in the place.

After lunch it's another factory visit, the salted duck egg factory in Kuala Gula. Nowadays things are going mechanized, including salted eggs production. We can see 2 big cylinders are in the factory, making salted eggs, but of course still need human to operate.

(I'm not really promoting this agency but this is the best video I could find from youtube about these places)

Are you fascinated with the beautiful scenery in Taiping Lake? Here is our destination, but not the lake itself, it's because of the 'lucky tortoise'. Anyway the beauty of the lake is really fascinating. I would really want to have a second visit here, mainly to enjoy the scene of the lake garden.

We didn't visit to the famous bridge or have a walk in the garden because it was too rush.

OK, here comes the main purpose of us -- the lucky six-legged tortoise. Many people said that by touching or carrying the tortoise can give you a great fortune, of course it's related to money. Many people won lottery after touching the tortoise. Believe it or not?

The last place we went, are shops and of course dinner before going home. We went home quite late, it's almost 12pm when we reached home. I can't say I really enjoyed the trip actually, but still, at least I had a chance to visit some of the places in Malaysia which I have never been to. Despite the annoying and disturbing karaoke on the bus, I still like the journey.

What's this feeling called?

It was in the meeting, when somebody told me some of the 'good news', and right after that, I felt a bit upset -- actually not really a bit, but in fact, very much.

People who really work hard do not get a single appreciation, and those who actually lousy got a reward. What kind of world is this? Are we looking at people's really performance or how they look from the outside? Nowadays, nothing really has a real credibility, not matter national or international awards, people can always find a 'way' to win them. It's just depends on how 'skillful' you are.

But what to do? Can I just say that it's the real life? Nothing really fair and if you really care then you'll be more unhappy. Just take it and swallow everything into your stomach and turn it into a sh**. It's also what everybody else do.

Yet I always believe that there is "natural selection" in this world, only people who capable survives. You can't depend on your luck forever, luck is like money in your bank, if you don't deposit at the end nothing is left. It sounds a bit like self-consolation, but no matter what, live goes on, you need to find a way to survive. For those you really feel unfair of, if you can't change it, just sh** it.

Souvenir from German

My friend visited to German last month and brought us these -- chocolates.

I like to eat chocolates but never really study on them. I don't know the history about chocolates, never recognize the flavour of chocolates and don't know which chocolate from which country is better. All I know is Belgium is famous with their chocolates and there are dark chocolates and milk chocolates, they can also be added with many other different ingredients and flavours... other than that..... anything else I need to know?

Although I'm not really picky about chocolates, there are still certain flavours that I would prefer. I like dark chocolates, but not 'too dark'. Actually I have sensitive teeth, so some local chocolates which are too sweet I can't really take them, that's why I choose dark choc.

Besides Godiva, I don't really know any other famous brand for chocolates. I googled this brand, actually it's famous in Belgium: http://www.dolfin.be/?lang=Fr&page=produits. You can check if you want to know more about it. Of course I don't have it all, just took a few, and actually they are quite nice.

Saying Good Bye to the Apple Hero

What most of the people will be at their 56 years old?
Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, has already become the legend.
I had once thought of owning an iPhone, or iPad, although I don't really think I can afford it. But I believe it's many people's dream too. Because of Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc. he created an "Apple world", which group all the Apple-pals together. I still wish that, maybe one day, I'll decide to buy some i-product, then I'll become part of the 'family' too. However, that time Jobs won't be there anymore.
No matter what, he is a legend, and the bitten apple will always be there in everybody's mind.
RIP, Jobs.

Late update - mid autumn night

It's the night when our little one start playing with fire (candles actually....)
After so many years, when we all grew up, playing with candles and lantern seems like kids stuff now.
So, my brother and sister never want to play with these anymore since so many years ago.
After a few years lighting up the candles and hanging the lantern alone, now I got a new 'buddy' --> my nephew~~
But since he's only 4, so better don't let him play with 'fire' too much.
After all he's so happy seeing the candlelight went off from his hand.... oh gosh... it's dangerous!

My "treasure"

These, are all my "treasures" after cleaning up my locker. Here are all the records of most of my opened tickets (cases) for the past 5 years when I was in CRM team. I never really throw it, I always think like I might need them for reference one day. And so, I brought all these from my previous office until the new building, from one locker to another, never really think of throwing them...... Until I moved to 2nd floor. Recently I got a chance to change my locker to 2nd floor, and so, I have decided to clean up all my unused stuffs. Including these 'treasures'.... It felt hard actually of throwing them, but at the same time, I don't know what I can do with them. These includes the VERY LAST copy of the first version of CRM training materials in the RCC history... :P And now, they are ALL in the recycle bin. Waste? hmm.... I don't think so. People say, new things won't come if the old one don't go (旧的不去,新的不来). So I don't really feel bad for dumping them... but... I feel like also dumping part of my memories... Anyhow, I should give up something old if I want to get something new. Same thing goes to my house, I think it's time for me to really do some housekeeping.......

Emergency

It was around 4pm in the afternoon, while I was surfing net on the dining table, I was shocked by a big "BANG!" sound from the back. I rushed and checked, found that one of the uncle has fell down from the 4 feet stand and passed out.

"Go get some help!" another uncle shouted. But at that moment, my mind was in a whirl, several thoughts have come into my mind: call ambulance? call my dad or brother? drive him to the hospital myself? then who will take care of my house? Just in a split of second, I decided to drive him to the hospital, another uncle was following, and my uncle (my mum's brother) left to take care of my house.

At first I went to the clinic nearby, but there was another patient inside also in emergency and just started treatment. Then we just changed our direction to Serdang Hospital.

Luckily the wound is not serious, he has done X-ray scanning, no bone fracture is found for this time (he had serious injury 4 years ago caused by car accident). After around 2 hours, we finally on our way back home.

This is the first time I have ever handled such an emergency in my life. I was freaked out at the first moment when it happened and my mind went blank. I didn't know what should I do, even if I have made my decision I also need to get myself prepared and make sure the house is safe and locked properly. It was just a scary moment.

So I have told my family, next time DON'T ever leave me alone in the house again!

Move again....

I can't really count exactly this is how many times I have been moving since I joined here, from old building to new building, even new building has been moved 7 times (2 teams). We are like living as a nomad (a member of a people who have no permanent home but move about according to the seasons,游牧民族), no permanent "home" but have to move anytime.

This time, we are moving to a brand new area, never been used before since we moved into this building, second floor. Other teams haven't moved in yet, so it's quite 'peaceful' and quiet, even still got paint smell.

One thing quite surprised me was I saw a pedestal under the table, but just a minute later, I was told that it'll be removed as it's not within the budget. Anyhow, it's still under my table, and I really hope that the management could change their mind and I'm expecting for the key so that I can stuff my things inside... hehehe

山頭火(さんとうか)拉面

As it's highly recommended by my friend, a week after the opening of Tokyo Street, I went to this shop with my classmates. And I was a bit surprised that, I can actually get pork from here.

We tried their signature food, Shio Ramen, the taste is very nice. But I'm not sure whether it's original Hokkaido taste or not... it's not cheap definitely, but worth a try. The set I ordered is RM29, good thing is you don't need to go to Hokkaido to try this... :P

Far East Movement - Rocketeer ft. Ryan Tedder

I noticed about Far East Movement is because of this song.
And then I found that the members are actually Asian descents (Japanese, Korean and Chinese).
Although they were born in America, as asian descents, it's actually not easy to be famous in US.
Then I found that another hit song "Like a G6" is also sung by them.
It's good to see the yellow skins hit the top charts in US, isn't it?

Right way for the right cure

A few days ago my mum told me that, one of her friend’s family member who got diabetes has to cut off one of the leg. Actually many people have been suffered from diabetes, as now there is still no permanent cure which can help the patients to totally recover from the disease. Even so, there are still many medicine that can help the patients to release the pain and alleviate the disease.

For the patients are taking some medicine, they have to be very careful especially oral medicine. There come about some cases that oral diabetes medicine has caused some side effect like heart attack, heart failure, and an increased risk of bladder cancer. These people are still fighting for their compensation in the Actos lawsuit, regardless of the side effects that has been caused by the medicine. In conclusion, you need to be very careful before taking any medicine or treatment.

Tokyo Street @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

I just had a visit to Pavilion this afternoon. It's just opened yesterday and you may find many things from Japan from here.

About the price, since it's in Pavilion, and it's from Japan, you can't expect it to be so cheap. However, you may also find some lower price merchandise here. Such as Daiso, everything in the shop is RM5. The milk tea also you can get as low as RM4.90 per cup.

When I visited there, I watched Japan traditional dance and Kendo performance. What impressed me is the spirit and strong culture that shown in their performance.不需要太多的技巧和花式,不需要哗众取宠的动作,他们的每一个表演,都很浓厚地散发了日本文化的精髓和气息。
