My first "show"

After 3 nights OT in a row, finally I could finish the training presentation material. Actually it's not really that perfect, just enough for the training only.

When I saw the contents added, I really doubted that if I had time to finish it within 2 hours. And now it's proven that I couldn't. I thought my 'daymare' is over, but it seems I still need to go through the "second round".

From the experience in my first presentation when I was still in college, the response and feedback from the audiences do affect your performance. In the morning session, all the people looked so serious, some of them even gave me a 'examiner' look, like judging me during my presentation. It was a really scary and awful moment until I found myself spoke incoherently, sometimes I didn't even know what did I say, especially when I saw the doubt faces in front of me.

The afternoon session is better, I was less stressful maybe because our 'big bosses' were not there, and they really gave me a positive response.

I don't really like public speaking, even if the audience is the people I know or close with, or how many people are there listen to me. I still have so much things to learn, and furthermore, this could be a good chance for me to really think about my career path, whether I want to go on with this, or find a better way for me.

But now what I need to concern about is my 'second round', I can expect there will be another stressful moment for me again.

Giving up~~

It's really a big headache for me.... especially I need to read a tons of materials and then come out with organized and summarized information. Gosh~~ it's really not an easy job!

So little children, listen to jie jie, envy is really a bad attitude that will only harm yourself. If I'm not too eager to get myself up to a level, I won't be taking so much responsibilities and burden with me, moreover, rewards are not guaranteed.

I admit that I didn't spend 100% of my time on my work, but I just get much stressful when it's getting late and still so much thing need to be done and there are still many empty pages. I can't really reconcile myself to a lifetime losers in my career, but I start to think about, it must be my attitude that stop me from growing up. I'm still trying to pull myself together, hopefully I can come out with 'something' tomorrow.

Car radiator

Since the frightful experience I had in the morning, I really think of buying a car. Morning shock

I was almost knocked by the crazy bus driver in the morning, when I rushed to the front door after the bus approached. I don't know if he's really so stupid or did it purposely, as a bus driver, he should know that within this period there are a lot of passengers, especially foreign workers. But still, they tends to come late, and somemore did something dangerous to us, for example, dangerous driving.

I was stopped at one moment, but suddenly stepped on the accelerator, the bus suddenly move to the front, and I was just right in front of it, luckily he quickly stepped on the break again. But I still had a sudden shock. The driver apologized to me after we stopped at the bus station, but asked me to be more careful next time.

The fear is still lingering in my mind, actually it's quite dangerous when you have to rush with a crowd of graceless people, not only you might get hurt, you are still exposing yourself to the pick pockets. I really need to think of getting my own transport rather than afraid of the same thing might happen again.

What happened to me?

When I saw the list, my first reaction was "Oh, Shxx!" I've made a mistake again.
My friend has asked me to place an order for him, I said yes to him and even informed him "Done" after a few mins, but actually I didn't do anything. I was so ignorant that I didn't really find out later, until I saw the list after I informed him that the food delivery has arrived.

I don't know how much "sorry" I should say to him because of me, he has missed his chicken rice for lunch. I've becoming quite forgetful recently, maybe it's caused by 'too much youtube' or really not enough sleep at night. Of course sometimes I feel a bit stress when too many responsibilities come to me at the same time and yet not really all of them has something in return. I really need to pull myself together before he 'lost' his chicken rice again. =.="

Late at night

It's already 12:23am in the midnight. Actually I should have gone to bed much earlier before because actually I have to get up early in the morning to catch the bus. You might be more shocked if I told you my office just 1/2 hour driving distance from my house.

Why I have to suffer for all these time-consuming travels everyday to work? The reason is just simple, I don't have a car. That's why my friends keep pushing me to buy a car, of course there is another advantage -- nobody has to drive me back home when gathering at night time anymore.

I've explained to many friends why I still not own a car, but even now I couldn't really convinced myself. It might not be reasonable enough for not buying a car. If it's just for my own convenience, I should have bought one long ago. Buying a car is really not economical in this country, yet almost all the people around me has their own one. So now whenever I was asked the question again, I'll answered, "Yes, yes, I'm going to buy one in the near future." Who knows when will be the 'near future' comes?

Youtube fever

Since I could watch youtube at home, I've started to search all the available videos from the website 'crazily'. But sometimes I still found difficulties in thinking "what to watch". Now I'm watching a Taiwanese drama. Watching from youtube? Am I crazy? Nope. I have another problem here, that is I still cannot download any videos or audios from home.

Don't be misunderstood, I do respect the privacy. It's just sometimes you can't get everything from the shop or licensed version. If I'm going to pay for everything I watch or listen, I'll go bankrupt someday.

Jam the room~~

It's been quite a long time since I last joined the BodyJam class. I still remember, if not mistaken, it was Clement's class.

I like to dance -- or to be more exact, I like to watch people dance, so my favourite singer is Justin Timberlake. I'm not good in dancing, this has been proven when I was not chosen to perform on stage in primary school. Although I've tried my best to perform well, maybe I just do not have the talent.

But I really like the rhythmic dancing move followed by the music, and everybody enjoy themselves in the class. If it's not in a studio like this, I would have thought I've come to a disco. Of course, joining a 'dancing' class with a combat outfit is quite weird, and furthermore it's also a big move if compared to combat. I really could expect a severe muscle pain on the next day.

But who cares? I really enjoyed it!

Alone

I tried to 'run away', but apparently I was 'failed'. I also thought of leaving my mobile on my desk and pretending that I was forgot to bring it out. I should have 'forgotten' to turn my mobile on and missed the call...... but at last, I still couldn't do it. I become the coward again.

Somehow it makes me feel that, the longer I stay here, I'll lose my personality, especially optimism in life. Every obstacle and frustration really let me down and I tried so hard to spirit up myself again and again. I don't know how long I can stand on this situation.

Maybe 6 months.... this thought has flashed into my mind when I was on the way back. I'll give myself a chance until 1/2 year. If I'm destined to have no progress in here, I might need to start thinking of my future again.

It's COOL~~~

She is the first among us, who is in love with a foreigner. I was startled when I was told by my friend about this. But I really think it's cool! Italian is one of the most romantic people in the world, she is just so lucky.

They even wanted to introduce me to his 'nice guy' friend, but believe me, I'm really quite 'scared' about speaking in English, although I almost speak everyday. I just feel awkward when I speak English, maybe others would have felt it too. I couldn't really get a foreigner boyfriend, unless he speaks Chinese... hahaha!

But anyway, they will have my best blessing ever. If I had the chance, I really hope that one day, I can fly to Italy to attend their wedding. It'd be too early for that huh? (*laugh*)

Can you believe that? I have been 'out' of youtube for so loooooooooooooong already, I think almost 1/2 - 1 year... I still can't remember when was the last time I watched video from it.

First of all, my home pc just formatted without flash player installed... and in fact it's not mine too, so I'm not allowed to install anything by myself. Next, my office has blocked youtube, after so many staffs 'caught' watching video during their work. So, there is no way I could watch it. Until yesterday, I suddenly found that... when I go to youtube, the flash player is working!!

The reason why my brother hesitated to install the Flash player is he afraid that the virus will be 'hidden' there... now that I can watch it... there are so many videos I'm looking for... any recommendation?

I know it's our hard time,

Combat @ Uptown

This is my first visit to Uptown, since I've joined FF for > 1 year. Actually its studio is quite small, compared with other clubs, even smaller than KLCC's. But I like the instructor, Renee. She is energetic, powerful and lively. Her tracks never boring, nor too exhausted. I still could bear with it, although I really got serious muscle pain today.... ouch~~!

Wonder if my friend who joined the intructor training has finished her training and become an instructor now. I missed her team teach classes, not even had time to join her class. Instructor, still ten million miles away from me, I think, for the moment, it shall be the best for me if I could attend the class punctually every week.

My hair

One good thing about my hair is, I don't need to comb my hair anymore. Because if I comb it, it'll become straight again, and I just leave it knots. But the bad thing is, to keep it wavy or curly, every morning I have to spend at least 5 mins "styling" time, no matter how rush I am, I can't leave the house with a dishevelled hair. Other than that, it's still look fine.

TV on the bus

If you are a passenger travelling by bus everyday especially RapidKL, you should find that since the beginning of the year (maybe last year end, forgot about the actual date), there are 2 LCD screens installed on the bus where TV programmes show.

Now besides sleeping :P, there is another thing I can do on the bus -- watching TV. Ads are unavoidable as it's the purpose of this narrowcasting service is in place. What I preferred, is their special programme, including Discovery Channel, Education Channel & Funniest Animation Channel. It's another of marketing approach from the advertiser and it's actually can be an effective way.

Of course, they can't depends on this TV programmes to help them to get more passengers. If they don't improve their service, their business will still getting down.

Opportunities

Along with the arrangement has been made, I understand there is nothing I can change. It's better I start to put in my effort now, than keep blaming the whole world. There is also nobody I can blame after all. It's not my day, what can I say?

Finally there is an announcement to the team, after it's been kept in secret for a while. It seems none of us are suprised with it, maybe it's within their expectation, or they just hide their feelings. Something like this, is quite an sensitive topic to be discussed within the team, unless you are planning for a 'rebellion'.

I still can't really accept it, but I'm trying hard to persuade myself to face the truth. There are still many opptys out there available which should fit me in. And actually, who got the oppty, still looking for other opptys at the same time. As long as they're willing to take the risk, what do I worry about?

Or they actually had expected that, and this is the outcome they wanted to see? Since nothing official has been informed, what I'm thinking here is just pure conjecture. Who will help me to prove it?

It seems that I can blame anyone, I should know what my problem is, and why I'm in this position. Actually there are some opportunities available out there, it's just depends on whether I'm eligible or I have the heart and confidence to take the challenge. You need so much courage to step forward, esp. when the future is really unknown to you. I'm not good in leadership, but there should be some place available for me to fit in.

Stay calm...

I tried to make myself calm and take it easy. Finally, I've plucked up my courage to speak out my opinion to my manager. It's not an easy steps, he might not notice that actually I was shivering. I'm not used to talk with people about such serious thing, but in order not to make me regret in the future, it's time for me to express myself rather than sitting silently in my cubicle. I'll just end up being gradually invisible or become a martian here.

I'm still not feeling quite 'comfortable' or relief here, but at least I've made the first step. From now on it's still depends on my luck and how my manager will react on it. Sometimes thing are not really fair to everybody, but you have to step up and fight for your own good.

Streamyx! Streamyx!

After a week of finding out the problem, finally I can connect via Streamyx-- YEAH~!! I'm now a Streamyx user!

It shouldn't be so happy like this as there are millions of Streamyx users around the world, but what I'm happy with is, at least I don't need to suffer with the snaily-slow dial-up connection anymore. I didn't take the usual speed 1M like others, I'm only using 512K, but it's more than enough for me coz I'm not using it so frequently, it's not worth to pay extra RM11 every month (compared with the biggest deal last year end RM77 per month).

You know what, the connection problem I had previously, was just easily resolved by just adding a "@streamyx" behind my username. Oh gosh! just some simple words has wasted my 1-week time to find out! The solution was given by the helpdesk agent when I called to the helpline for 3rd time. Justnow the guy who got my first call called me back for report close concurrence, luckily they still followed up with me, although he's not the person who gave me the solution, but at least following up is a good attitude as a helpdesk. (Don't forget I'm from HD too!)

Maybe I'm too used to my office internet speed, the 512K for me is still quite slow. But it's ok, as long as I can throw away my dial-up to the rubbish bin.

Shocking election

Believe me, I was SOOOOO shocked when I heard the news.

On the election day, I stayed in front of the TV until almost 3pm. I believe the result has shocked the nation as nobody has expected the big change like this. As what stated by the commentator, at the beginning the people only wanted to 'teach them a lesson". And actually the candidates and all the parties could expect such a huge difference. But still, it has shown that people really want a change, and they are not really would regret for their choice. And it's time for the ruling party to review the situation and start a self-examination. It's not a choice by mistake or just emotional vote, it's with some reason.

Next, we are expecting for a better future of course. As long as there's a change, there's a hope. Congratulations to the winners~~!

In the middle of the night...

Just lost an oppty... after I tried to grab it, it has fully reserved by others... aiks~~~! Who will sit in front of the pc in the middle of the night like me, keep refreshing the page waiting for the oppty to release? Could it be somebody from the west? It's a worldwide oppty after all.... sigh...

Something happened in the afternoon suddenly rose in my mind. "She's just too nice!" She made her comment, to him. They looked at me in a quite... sympathizing way. I looked at the boxes in front of me, puzzled. "She is more deserved it, you know?" she said again, commented about another thing, looked like she's feeling unfair for me.

Am I really so nice? Ya, burning sun, long queue, crowded place, delivery...... everyday I look like a delivery girl, carrying a large pack of food, travelling long distance on my 2 feet only, the worst thing is, without commission, not even the 'service charge' as what they said.

I'm just do it in passing..... maybe I can say on the other hand. However, I'm just use my 2 feets to reach the place, no transport, no helpers. Am I really too nice? Maybe...... it's too hard to reject.

Looking at them, I start to think...... they are my real comrades, other people, no matter how good they are, still outsider. But no matter what I've done in here, I'm still placed in the lowest position and feel myself like an alien (martian maybe?) among them. Moreover I keep receiving a 'reminder' for the thing they thought I've owed them (hi'im lei ge meh!). Does it really worth?

I can't give up what I can get from here, no matter how inequitable I feel here, or how much I found myself as a martian here, the problem is, I still need to tolerate and keep staying here. As long as I still can bear with it, I'll do it. But maybe tomorrow, I'll see if I would 'self-disappear' during lunch time...... too tired for that already.

Sleepy...zzz

I'm so sleepy actually.... but couldn't resist the 'money' to grab my last oppty for 'today' (actually is 'yesterday'). It's has been 'quiet' for some time, 2 days at least.

Just had a chat with my dear friend. Actually she's quite bothered by the current thing that she's busying about. She couldn't help to worry herself although actually she shouldn't be. However, we are not in her position, won't understand her feeling and what's she worrying about and why she worries so much. All I can do is just stay 'beside' her, and listen to her, share her burden and worries. Actually I did help her on the first 'task' she 'assigned' to me. Now, just see what'll be going on soon.

As long as you have decided it, no matter how things get difficult, you just have to grit your teeth and persevere, of course try your best to find the way out. She got so many people willing to give her a hand, so hopefully she'll get everything goes well.

A Madman

My afternoon was almost spolit by this crazy psycho!! I haven't encountered this issue before that's why I didn't really handle it well enough to calm my anger. If this fella dare to call me again, or I had a second chance to deal with him again, I would definitely fight back with him.

He was asking me about my satisfaction of the mobile service at the beginning, and asked me if I had received any unidentified call, or any call with advertising purpose, or the line was unclear. Then when he verified that I'm the telecommunication service customer for more than a year, he told me that I would receive one voucher with 3D2N hotel or resort stay for free. and asked me to collect my voucher at 5pm. But later I began to worry about their intention and whether it's a legal because their collection point actually not in the KLCC itself, but in a brown building quite far away from KLCC.

Because I couldn't really trust this fella, I made a call to my mobile service helpline. And they confirmed that it wasn't come from their company. Because if their staffs are going to call the customer to inform the good news or tell them the promotion, they'll call from the company line which will show unknown number rather than a personal phone number. And if the SMS is come from their company, it'll show 4-digits number instead. They will not use a 01x number to contact their customers.

Hence, I decided not to turn up when it was 5pm, and furthermore it was raining heavily that time. The fella called me again around 5pm as I expected. I told him I couldn't be there because of the heavy rain, and he said he'll rescheduled my appointment until 6.30pm. I said I'll going home soon, couldn't be there either, and asked him to give the voucher to someone else. Then this fella become ??, and keep saying that the voucher has already printed my name on it and cannot be given to others. I told him it wasn't my fault I really couldn't make it. Guess what? This fella suddenly turned to be so desperate and then start to throw his tantrum on me! He shouted, "If you couldn't come then why you promised?" "Next time if you couldn't make it, don't promise!" What is he talking about? wasn't it my fault? Without hesitate, I throwed him with a "Thank you!" and then cut the line off.

That's why I was so pissed off, if I wasn't so stunted that time, I should have scold him back and warned him I'll reported his bad attitude to the police or newspaper, I even doubt that if they're legal to use the mobile service company's name to contact their customers. They would have broken the law too! His rudeness to me still rankles. I called back to the helpline again and complained to the agents about this fella and their company.
