New 'part-time' job

After not much consideration, I decided to pick up this new role. According to her, it's just as a part-time job, it won't occupy much of my time, as what she said, once in a month or even longer.

What I'm really struggling is that, either I have to give up my current effort to become a SME, but which one is more suitable for me? I've been a 'backup' for almost a year (or even more than that?) since they first announcement, and until now I'm still the backup, I believe that even after another year, I'll still be the backup, they never trust me to take up the role. In that case, this is an rare oppty for me to start to move on. I can't keep waiting until the apple drops from the tree, it's either I move to another role, or move to another company. Now it's an oppty right in front of me, I'm still really resisting it, I just want to give myself a try. You never try, you never know.

Trainer... what does a trainer do? For somebody like me who will stammer in front of everybody, even my own teammates, can I really pick up the job? I don't even dare to imagine it.

However, it's still a good try. Who knows? Maybe I'll find this can be the most suitable job for me.

Batman vs. Spiderman vs. Superman

Currently there are so many superheroes are coming out to the screen, to save the world (or their cities only). However, I found some interesting difference among these ‘men’. Take Batman, Spiderman and Superman for instance……

Financial. Batman is a rich and no need to work by himself (somebody is running his family business, so that he can go out almost every night); Superman is a reporter, got a job but not very rich; Spiderman is the worst, he was a student and doesn’t even has a permanent job, and always got fired because busy saving people.

Superpower. Superman is from other planet, he got super power, so he’s the best among them; Spiderman got ‘spider-power’ after he got bitten by a spider; Batman is the worst, he just got some ninja skills and learned everything by himself, all his ‘power’ actually needs to depends on technology.

“Working hour”. Superman and Spiderman can save people anytime, as long as there’s somebody calling for help; but Batman only comes out after dark. That might because Batman is not the person that saving any individual from being bullied or from danger, his main job is just to punish and catch the bad guys in town.

Relationship. Spiderman got MJ as his girlfriend, although they got bad times and she has left him once, but finally she still comes back to him; Superman got Lois Lane and she’s always by her side; Batman…… eh…… I can’t remember the previous episodes; I just remember the recent 2: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the only girl that he loves – Rachel, didn’t even want to be with him at the end, although she loves him in heart, and the worst thing is, he has to face her death.

Background. All three of them are orphans, but have different stories; Superman’s parents died when the planet was exploded, but their ‘spirits’ were always following him and be with him; Spiderman stayed with his uncle and aunt only; Batman had to see his parents died in front of him and it had become his nightmare until he grew up.

Human Identity. Bruce Wayne (Batman) is a billionaire, who inherited his parents great wealth, so he can use it for developing his weapons and armors; Clark Kent (Superman) is a journalist in a press, and to others, he’s a good friend of Superman; Peter Parker (Spiderman)is a outstanding student in college, but after he’s graduated, he couldn’t even find himself a good job.

Costume. Superman's and Spiderman's suits are wearing inside, so when there's emergency, they can just get somewhere to change (I wonder why nobody noticed them), for example, phone booth as what Superman usually does. But Batman got too many 'equipments' and weapons on his suit, so he gotta change first before coming out, 'emergency' is not applicable to him.

Adventure in the jungle~~

It's my Team Lead's idea to travel to the waterfall. I really didn't expect that, the journey could be so adventurous and exciting! However, it's good to have such a group activity together, especially if you are in a team, after all the busy works and stresses, we still can have fun and outing together.

Excuses?

I'm lazy to explain.
It seems that everytime I give my explanation, they'll take it as an excuse, and even asked me why I'm so "defensive". I was just trying to explain why I did that and my concern about the process or issue. Anyhow, it seems that they don't comprehend that way.
So now, I'm fed up.
Everything you say, I'll just nod... and sometimes give 'explanation' too, but if you still think that it's an 'excuse', then just leave it. You mean what you say, I won't say NO, and I'm not allowed to say NO, ain't I?
I always wonder if there is any problem with my communication skills.
No matter how many times I try to join them, the thing will still end up I'll be kicked off and become an ALIEN again. I'm always a MARCIAN here, or even further, maybe from some planet out of the galaxy.
I'm tired for all these communication barriers around me...
I'm thinking of go back to MARS someday....... (Earth is very dangerous...)

Is it funny to bring umbrella to the jungle?

My friend came back from a group lunch, complained that everyone was laughing at her because she said she wants to bring along an umbrella to the jungle. When she came back, she kept asking others if it's really a joke.

Actually bringing umbrella is most of girls' habit, it doesn't matter where they go. I don't take this as a joke, but others still laughed like it's the most funniest thing on earth.

What's so funny about? I don't understand. Maybe you can tell me? I think it's kinda communication barrier among us.
