Beauty Sleep

As a night owl, I admitted that my bad habit is actually a big taboo to beauty and health. Nothing important or must do it until the late night, it’s just sometimes I don’t feel want to sleep or too early for sleeping. Therefore, it would be better for me to find some other ways to keep myself look good and healthy. Maybe I should join Anitoch beauty school to learn about the beauty tips.

But of course, the best way of keeping yourself healthy and beautiful is to practice a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy, live healthy. For example, get myself a full 8-hour sleep. That means, I have to go to bed now.

Korean BBQ @ Hwangsil Garden, Neo Damansara

This is the second time I visited a full Korean restaurant, the boss is a Korean who can speak Japanese and one of my Japanese friend is their regular customer.

I almost lost my way when driving there, actually I didn't have any idea where were I going, I just followed the instructions from my friend (she got the instructions from another Japanese friend, in Japanese...), and I ended up turned into a wrong junction. After coming back and searched from the web then only I know that the restaurant is located in somewhere called Neo Damansara, Damansara Perdana. Just very very close to The Curve.

Something interesting is, I went with 3 friends together: 2 of them are Japanese and one Malaysian who can speak Japanese, so I have to use my really 'lauya' Japanese and try my very best to understand their conversations. But it's a good time for me to learn and practice my Japanese, although for sure it doesn't enough.

About the food quality itself, I can give a rating as 8. Taste good, not so spicy and truly original from Korea. I don't know the name for each dishes, so just show the pictures. I prefer the kimchi, spicy taufu soup, and the BBQ meats.

View from outside.
The side dishes... yummy yummy~~

Angry Bird Fever

The event: World's Biggest Angry Birds Playground by Nokia

If you are an iPhone user, for sure you are totally familiar with the Angry Birds. Even if non-iPhone users like me, got to know this crazy little bird with only the head is showing and frowning eyes, use its body to hit a green piggy.

Recently this fella is getting more and more famous now, not only iPhone, but this event is held by Nokia, they are crazy about Angry Birds too!

It was last Saturday, it's just happened that I passed by Low Yat plaza and joined their activities. I registered myself and got a fan, and I'm one of those participants who hit the Guinness World Record of "Most people in a mobile phone game relay", I helped to create the record~~ Yeah!

My 'louya' mobile phone cannot install the game, but recently I just copied the Windows version from my friend, and also I found a web version can be installed and played in Google Chrome. Cool huh? Now Angry Birds is not only for iPhone users, but EVERYONE can play with it.

GO GO ANGRY BIRDS!! Let's GET ANGRY~~~!!

Moving

Many people are moving in my office. Some had just left today, some has tendered and will be leaving, for the other one, just decided not to continue.

When people tell me how they are disappointed with the policy, people and underpaid issue, I really don't know what should I say. I have been staying here for more than 6 years, but it doesn't mean that I enjoy the benefit here. I admit that many politics happened around, and I'm totally not satisfied with what I'm getting monthly now, and also my position has been.... can say that 'downgraded', as I was leading people previously.

Of course you can say I don't have any dream and ambition, that's why I don't have any intention to leave. But I have. I mean, I'm looking for a better future too, but the most I concern is the people that I'm working with, and also the environment. If you go to a new place, you have to start as a beginner, no matter you are joining as a level 1 staff or manager. You need to adopt everything from the start, including their working culture. You can choose your job scope, but you can't choose the people who work with you, not to mention to choose the boss.

When having a breakfast chat with some of the friends in the pantry, one guy mentioned, "If it's the HL last time...". Yes, my current boss HL used to be a strict and detailed boss before, some even think that she was harsh. But now she's being too nice. The worst thing is, somebody is challenging her patience and kindness. When we afraid that he will push her too far until she becomes strict to us again, I just got his message that, he won't continue.

Interesting huh? From what I've learned from working here is that, don't worry about anything, things will find their way to change and at the end, it won't be your concern anymore.

Good luck to those who are chasing their dreams. Hopefully you can find what you want in the future.

Help or harm

This morning I was having breakfast with my teammate, she just became a mum 3 months ago and now thinking of her baby so much everyday. She had a quite bad experience in the hospital when her baby needed to do a blood test after birth. She saw her baby hurt and she was crying because of the pain of her baby.

Usually we rely on the medications to cure the illness, we trust their professionalism and believe that they will give full effort to help their patients. However, it comes about that they are many medical malpractice cases from time to time. The Topamax lawsuit is one of the cases that shocked the people. Topamax was initially created to treat epileptic seizures but at the end it cause serious effect to the patients. So the best way to avoid this of course is to keep a healthy lifestyle, but if you really need to seek medical assistance, make sure you find the right team to help you.

So free... not so free

My 'boss' is in Japan now.
No specific schedule for me at the moment, only those BAU (business as usual).
After joining the team for 1/2 year, I found that I have so much freedom in here, basically my boss and the 'authorities' are quite busy with their work, they will move around, attending meetings, trainings... so I can say for most of the time, nobody is watching us (me).
However, it doesn't mean that I don't need to work.
We have our monthly task to do: training coordination, cqm work for > 100 agents every month, coaching to the agents according to the schedule, and some other ad-hoc work. As long as we can complete our work, usually we won't be monitored and questioned -- but of course, the bottomline is, we also have to behave, this includes don't let people see you are doing 'non-work related' stuffs in the office.
This job requires a high level of self-discipline. You need to learn how to control yourself, do proper time management. Otherwise, after all the NVA works that you have done, at the end of the day, when it comes to the deadline, you may find that you just complete half of your work, then you'll feel you wanna die.
I don't say I'm a completely hardworking type of person, so I need to make sure my work is in progress and within the schedule.
So, I can say I'm free, but not so free as well.

Another farewell

This time, is Abby. I can't remember when did she join the team.
Despite all the miscommunications among the team, actually she has a quite good performance. She did a hard work all the while.
I didn't give any word to her, actually I really don't know what should I say.
I'm not good in free talk, I have to admit that. Without a script or the outline of the speech, I don't really know what should I say in public.
There are lots of changes happened to CRM team. Another senior (> 1 year is considered a "senior" in our team) will also be leaving soon. Almost 90% of the members are newbies. The thing is, this is not only happened to CRM but the whole center. Sometimes we need seniors to stay because they are the people who know the best of your system and have the best knowledge of your team. But it's up to the management how can we keep these people with us.
Anyhow, I'm no longer in this team. The most I can say is: Good Luck.
Good luck to Abby! Good luck to the team!
and Good Luck to Everybody!

What is safe?

The tainted food and drink issue starts from Taiwan is still panicking the people around the world, other food including vegetables and fruits are also suspected being tainted in other country. Nowadays we have to be very careful when putting something into our mouth. But how much we can take caution of, which food we can trust and which we can’t? We are not the experts so it’s hard for us to identify which one we can eat.

Even if we are sick or need medical treatment, some medicines are also causing harm to our body. The Topamax lawsuit happened before because of the serious effect of Topamax where they were initially used to treat epileptic seizures.

If we can’t avoid eating bad things, at least we need to keep our body stronger to reduce the effect on us.

Itchy and painful arms

This is how my left arm looked like yesterday.
I don't know what actually has caused my painful and itchy arms.
I used to have skin allergy problem when I was young, and now it's still sensitive to certain things, sometimes is seafood, sometimes is pollen, but I can't really find out the specific thing that cause my allergic problem.
I ate a lot of seafood when I was in Tanjung Sepat last month, but nothing happened after that.
This is actually how it looked after I saw the doctor and applied the cream.
No medicine is given since doc said it's not necessary.
Luckily today, it becomes better.
But still sometimes quite itchy.
Really afraid of this kind of thing... T_T

The "boss" in my house

The "boss" in my house is only 3 years old (going to be 4 soon).
He has the "power" to order the whole family members to do whatever he wants us to do.
And he's "in charge" of some of the housework like open the door, off the light, seats arrangement, etc all under his order.
Whatever taken away has to be placed or returned back to its original place -- except his toys or those he throws.
He is the "teacher" in my house too, but what he does is just pointing at the picture and asking you to say in words.
Each of us have our direction to go when we go out, except when we are going out together.
He will watch my mum when she is cooking or preparing breakfast (if he wakes up before that), sometimes (actually most of the time) he will give a hand...

There are too many funny and interesting moments you can find from our 'boss', if he's not naughty, actually I'm really enjoying my times with him.
