Penang Trip + My Manager's Wedding

It's said a 'trip', but actually we didn't go many places. Of course, by the time we walked out from the hotel, it's already afternoon, where could we go?

Anyway, our main purpose here is to attend our Big Brother (manager)'s wedding, so visiting has become not so important for some. The only place of interest we visited, was the reclining buddha temple.

The place we stayed, Good Hope Inn Hotel.

The antiques placed in the hotel.

Beautiful sea...

This photo is very blur because of my lousy camera. But anyhow I like this picture very much. Maybe I look better in blur...haha

Thanks Adrian for inviting us to such a wonderful dinner, and thanks for giving me an oppty to join such a unforgetable clubbing party. Congratulations to our BIG BROTHER and CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding~~!!

First day @ new place

It's the first day I moved to West wing.

I still don't really like the place, but with my good adaptability, I didn't really feel uncomfortable. The only thing is, I gotta be more aware of my environment because anyone could come nearby from my back.

Who said the network here is better than the other side? It's the most annoying thing for this place. Other than the gpp is still accessible, nothing else is faster, even worse. But the bad news is, we still need to cope ourselves in this kind of environment because we have no choice.

So, what to do? Just stay with it lah!

Moved again

It's already our third move, since I joined.

From old building Phase 1, to Phase 2. Then moved to new building, East Wing. And now, it's West Wing.

If you asked me, I prefer East Wing for sure. It's brighter and cleaner looking in East Wing, even fresher air. But here, I wonder if I'm too sensitive because I keep feeling bad smell around here.

And also because of it has been comparted to several small rooms, our space has become smaller and quieter, even a small sound echoes. Quite scary actually.

My old seats, due to time constraint I wasn't able to take a photo of my 'organized desk' before I moved. This was after I've packed everything and waiting for the trolley.

My new desk, I haven't unpacked my stuffs yet. It's 'roadside' again. I hate 'roadside'... but it's set by my boss... no objection.... :(

Reclone Office PC...

I've decided to reclone my office's pc today, and hopefully it'll improve my computer speed.

Can you imagine that? I'm still keeping a out-of-date pc with minimum memory and disk space, in an international company like I'm working with, and what I do, is supporting users and business partners.

You can expect that I keep saying sorry to user, "I'm sorry, our network is very slow...." How ashamed it is!

I don't think request for a pc upgrade is possible in the current situation, but at least hopefully format PC and free out some of my disk space and force it to work faster. However, after finished cloning it today, I don't think it works, because my harddisk allocation has already used 16GB out of 37GB, and I still have some more softwares to install... and I can expect after that it'll be less than 50% again.

Gosh~~ anyway I can maximize my disk usage with the poor specs of my pc?

Quote for the Week

Currently I found this was sticked on the wall in the elevator area. It sounds that it reflects what management's thinking: expecting their employees to put extra more and more efforts to contribute the company. However, if you look at those successful people, it's true that they really take 200% efforts on their work before they success.

I believe that you won't really lose anything for your effort, as long as it helps you to learn in return. It just as an additional credit for yourself and in the future it'll become your advantages to others. If you keep haggling over every ounce, at least the person who lose is you.

How to Accept Blame when You Deserve It

I like this quote:

How to Accept Blame when You Deserve It
Things go wrong sometimes. There are times when it's accidental. There are times when it's someone else's fault. But at the times when you know you are at fault for the problem, the mature and responsible thing to do is stand up and own the mistake, accept the consequences, and be part of the solution to the problem resulting from your mistake.

Sometimes people just never learn from mistake, or even refuse to admit it. You don't need so much courage to admit your mistake, it just depends on how you accept it, take it as a lesson and learn from it. No wisdom is required, it's just whether you want to improve or not.

In memory of 911

Today is the memorial day for the 911, It's been 7 years since the tragedy happened.

I still remember when I first watched the news from TV, I thought it was a joke or commercial or something else, because the news was cut in middle of a TV programme. And when I saw the plane crashed into the Twin Tower, it was just like a movie scene. Who would think it's real at the first place?

It's even sadder when we knew that over 300 firemen has sacrified themselves because of rescuing people, and since then, they have got the great respect from the public.

The good thing is, we have learnt that, love can bring us together, and forget about the sadness.

In this memorial day, while we remember the tears, also we will remember the loved ones around us.

Best Wishes to Everyone!

My Garden... (my name on it~~ :D)

Do you find anything interesting with this garden? If you took a closer look, you'll find that the garden got my Chinese name on it!

See? It's interesting, right? My parents saw it when they had a trip to Alor Setar, and my mum took a picture for me at once.

According to the tour guide, this garden is named after the owner's wife (not sure she's alive or...) but it's still interesting that she has the same name as mine. One day I should visit to the place myself. Haha!

Have you tried the "Chrome"?

Google finally joins the challenge. I downloaded and installed just because it's quite interesting. I would like to know how Google can compete with some dominating browsers like IE and Ffox.

Well, for the first few hours I started to use this new thing, the good thing is its interface is simple and easy. It seems not so 'heavy-loaded' like IE, that's why it's fast. But in terms of speed, can't find any difference with Ffox yet... it's still too early to give a review on it. However, I'm quite fine with this new 'products' and I'll keep using it until... maybe I can see some difference from it... hehe...

Bad Luck Day

Today definitely is my bad luck day, worst.

First is the terrible jam in the morning, it caused me late for work for more than half an hour. I was stuck in the traffic for more than half an hour, moving bumper to bumper and still in the same area.

Then in the afternoon I went to the restaurant nearby the office, where usually their serving is very fast, once in a blue moon, the restaurant was black out. This restaurant has opened for more than 2 years and I seldom see their electricity went off -- at least it’s not in my memory. When I thought I’ve failed my performance in the morning and still stayed steady there waiting for them to serve my order, until I was late again. And bad news, my TL told me the morning late can be exempted….. BANG~~~!!!! Another great shock for me.

And now, it’s my internet. I have reserved an offer in a paid post website, and when I thought that I still have 48 hours to complete my post, the time passed hour by hour. I thought I could do it before today, then after the first 3 minutes successful connection, it was disconnected and now never connect again. Luckily in the last minute, it allowed me to get through, otherwise I’ll lost my $5~~!!

WHAT HAPPEN TO ME????!!!! AHHHHH~~~!!!!!!!!!!

Cosmetology Schools

Many older generation people don’t really taking care of their skin and look, like my mum, she seldom used any skincare product when she was young. However, it’s different for now. Beauty care used to be girls’ interest, but you may find that, even guys have started to take care of their skin. It is not only for beauty purpose, it’s also giving you healthy-looking skin. And with a good look, you can give people better impression.

Although there are many different kinds and brands of skincare products in the market, it’s better if you could learn how to take care of your skin by yourself, and also to the others. That’s why many people going for cosmetology schools. As more people are caring about their good look, it definitely can help your business to grow.

Jungle durian feast....

It was a month ago, when it's still during the durian season, we had a chance to get jungle durian when we just came back from the waterfall.

Many foreigners don't like durian, they say it's smelly. But one of my Korean colleague likes it very much! She's crazy about durian and it's her first time tasting jungle durian, the real old jungle style.

According to my friend, the main difference between jungle durian and the one we usually see in the market place and roadside, is the age of the tree. Jungle durian usually older, and some even more than 100 years.

My father doesn't really like jungle durian because of the taste and the fruit is quite "watery"... but even my Japanese collegue who rarely eat durian, thumbs up for it. So, is it really nicer? It's depends on your favourites.

Jungle durian usually smaller.

Does it look delicious to you?

Durian feast at the roadside...haha

Naughty Boy!

Yes, the photos are very blur. I still can't get enough money to buy a new better camera, so at the moment, I still has to use my 'lauya' Fuji digicam...

It's been so long since I last updated his growth development. For now, he has learnt to crawl (as a premie, his development is later than normal babies). And since he learnt how to crawl, he's so happy and excited to crawl everywhere, even refuse to be carried anymore. But there are too many danger zone in my house, the sockets, the dirt, the tables, the rubbish bin...... you have to take good care of him so that he won't get closed with those things.

He's 'treasure-hunting' in my bag, he likes to take things out and if it's not interesting at all, he'll throw it behind.

Hmmm... this is "Yi Yi" (aunt)'s tag, looks nice.... :P

OK, go for the next thing...

This is YiYi's notebook... let me see what's written inside... (you can read meh?)

Now it's time for dragging out the magazines... hehehe

See, how naughty he is? And I strongly believe that it's time to throw my lousy camera away.... >.<

Nowadays the enhancement of the information technology really has changed our life, and made it more convenient. Back to Combat class

It's been quite a long time I hadn't entered to any FF club for this few months. I still remember the last time I joined the class, was the Miracle '08 in June. I've freezed my membership for July but even in August, I still couldn't really make it to attend even during weekends.

Luckily, before the month ended, I was still able to join at least one class. Actually I really like Body Combat, it's just the time problem. I like the kickboxing challenge, the rhythm, the music...... but too bad, it takes so much time to keep yourself maintaining to the class.

Hope that next month, I can attend more class otherwise I'll waste my monthly access fee don't know for what....

A Walk to Remember

My friend has recommended this to me for long, and I just had a chance to watch it today.

After spending for almost 2 hours to watch the whole story, I finally knew why she loves it so much. It's all about love, it's all about faith, and believes.

The story itself is touching, and some quotes that I really similiar with. Besides the religious background it has behind the story, it's truely a great movie for its simplicity and true love.

It's a story, about a boy and a girl, who lived in different world, got along with different people, had a different background, but because of love, they got to be together, and brought good things to each others, along with sweet memories and, faith.

I like this movie, and thanks for my best friend, to introduce it to me.
