Raya deco @ Pavilion

This is the new Raya deco at Pavilion. The golden shiny trees. Usually people will put green to represent Raya, but this time they chose the properous color, it's a good creativity too.

And there is a fashion show inside, it's the Muslim lady designer, so here are the models and their clothings from the designer. It's quite different from usual designs, the audiences are apparently lesser, but this can be unique too.

High income nation

Many people are complaining about their low pay and high workload. Our government has announced to have Malaysia intends to become a high income nation by the year 2020. This is not something that we can easily achieve. There are many other reasons and challenges and we have to face and overcome before we can achieve our goal.

Actually, many of us have started to make another effort to increase their income, you may consider to buy gold bars for investment, as gold prices have been found to be more stable than other precious metals, even compare with stock market. Instead of waiting for other people to put more money into our pockets, why not we just start helping ourselves?

New boy

He just join the company at his 20. At first we were so surprised of he is being offered the job, we once doubt the management decision.

But then, after training and on board, we started to know why he can be in here. I start to believe that it doesn't matter how old you are, what the most important thing is how much you can learn and contribute. It also somehow depends on your attitude and capability to learn. He has showed us his talent but of course, a part of it come from his effort.

Still, it's too early to judge his performance. But the good thing is, it's not difficult for us to communicate, and we managed to find some common topics to chat with. Sometimes I will feel that I have a gap with the young generations, luckily so far I can still get along with him well.

I really cannot tell how long he can stay in the team, anyhow I'm still glad that he could be with us at the moment.

JLPT

I have registered for the JLPT N4. Actually I'm not really confident about my Japanese. In fact, due to lack of practice and not doing homework and less revision, actually I think I don't really learn much. Everytime I take out my textbook, I feel lazy to study. My I2 test only got 62 marks.

Taking the test, is just to measure my level of proficiency. I'm not sure if I want to continue or just hold on and start all my foundation over again. I admit that, I'm still a lazy person who cannot really learn much. I just don't have the will to learn, maybe I really need to change my attitude...

Anyhow, hopefully I could pass my JLPT.

Cosmetology

I have read a news from the paper recently, about a study in one of the country in Asia, it says that in that country, guys have done plastic surgery more than ladies. Nowadays not only ladies care about their look, even guys are looking for younger and good-looking face. Besides facial treatment, they even do double eyelid, face-lifting, nose-reshaping, and so on. Actually it has become more and more common in many Asian countries.

Therefore, cosmetology can be a money-making opportunity, there are more and more beauty saloons and surgical hospitals appear in town. If you would like to develop your career in this industry as well, you may join the Cosmetology School in Austin, get the certification and build your own business.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

I like Nicolas Cage, but recently his movies are not really that good, at least not really attracted the audiences. This movie, talks about magic. By right it's supposed to be very hot topic, and many people will like it. I can't say it's good or bad, but it just seems like something is missing. The story itself is not really new and attractive, the second male character is not really a good-looking guy that will pull in many female audiences, the visual effect..... I can say there are many other movies better than this.

Still, I like Nicolas Cage. I don't hate this movie, but it's definitely not the best.

New lunch buddy

It began when the Ramadhan starts, he followed the 'big sisters' for lunch, and now going lunch with us everyday. Actually I haven't really got 'approval' from my other lunch buddies whether they welcome him to join or not. Hehe... just hopefully they don't mind. Anyhow, it looks like everybody is having good time together.

Real? Fake?

When you really trust somebody and suddenly found that many things might be the 'truth' of this person, what would you feel? Disappointed? Angry? Sad? I think I got them all.

The person used to be very smart and I thought that the person might have a big chance to grow. But just after a few months, the person has turned into very lousy and irresponsible. I thought I could make up some reason for this person to change, like the person best friend had left, the person is too young to handle stress, the person needs somebody to be more understanding and care.... so again and again, I gave the person a chance. Even though the superior has already almost wanted to give the person a warning, but still at the end, superior stopped and decided to give the person a last chance again. But it seems that, it is not like that.

We got another person with the similar background and experience, but totally different personality. Both of them are supporting their family, they are also not having high educational background, they are young, they have good technical skills. But the new person is willing to learn, learning fast and smart, having positive attitude and accepting advices.

Then I know, it doesn't matter how old you are, or how much experience you have. What matters, is how your attitude is. If you have a negative attitude, and not performing well, at the end it'll just be your obstacle to success. Anyhow, I have given up on this person. And I've prepared this person will be missing in sight anytime. If you don't help yourself, nobody can help you.

But still, I want to believe that this person was not being fake in front of me, the person is just lost oneself and didn't find the correct way. Nevertheless, I still believe in people's good heart. Don't let one person loose your faith to the others.

In the office

It's already 7:30pm, raining outside.

Just browse through some of my friends blogs and statuses (you-know-where), I found that they are really brave to write the things from their work, actually some of them are complains or negative feeling about something or somebody.

For me, I don't dare to do so as many people can access to my pages and blogs, even if not my direct superior, my friend can tell my colleague, and my colleague can tell my boss...... there are a large network over here, who knows at the end where the message will be flowed to?

Yet, it doesn't mean that I will never complain or I'm too comfortable with my work. I feel stressed also, have to deal with so many people everyday, handling some difficult requests, and deal with some VIP people, lost in the 'pool' side and lost in way don't know how to proceed...... and everyday after work, I feel very very tired and exhausted.

One of my old time lunch buddy will travel to Netherland for business trip. How good is that? I always wish to travel but until my age I still never step on a plane. Sad~~! Everyday work work work but at the end still cannot get a flight ticket.

It's time to go home now, will travel to Ipoh tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a nice journey.

Dream job

Nowadays it is really not easy to find your dream job out there, especially like Chinese always say, “When people are picking jobs, jobs also picking people.” Some people always complain about their job and keep asking why they can’t find jobs which suit them. Some jobs always cannot find the right people, at the end it raises up the turnover.

Actually in most of the time, it depends on your attitude and your thinking on your work. It doesn’t matter which job you are doing, if you do not have a right attitude, you will still complain in the rest of your life. Not everyone can work in some good organizations like United States Gold Bureau, you will help people to increase the value of their properties, at the same time also get yourself a high return. But as long as you can keep yourself in good performance, you will find a job that you are really good at and dedicate to it.

Chat Chat in the office

It just happened that, I walked down to the pantry, and saw my friends were chatting there. So although I actually had been away for so long, still I joined them for talk talk.

I'm so happy to see my old friends in here, although sometimes I still can't find some good point in the talk, but I'm glad to have someone you know for so many years and you still can chat with them.

We are really worrying about the team. It's just difficult to keep people in here, especially good people. For those who has already learned, they left for better opportunities. For those who couldn't perform, they also left because couldn't find opportunity in here. Then how can we grow? we don't even able to keep our service quality here.

Anyhow, this is not our concern anymore. I like our comrades, not the policy. And actually I 'scared' my team members again by having a 'loud discussion' with my superior. His attitude is still the same, no matter how things changed, it won't change his mind. Whatever, I don't care.

Long Journey

I started my journey after work. Driving all the way from Cyber to KL Sentral, walking from 1st floor to 2nd floor, and then took a train to Mid Valley, and walked from LG to 3rd floor, after that took a train back to KL Sentral, drove home.

Yet, I didn't find what I'm looking for. I have entered so many camera shops, but none of them is selling it. It is the Fuji Camera rechargable battery, NP-40. The current battery already got problem, but then I couldn't find a replacement. Gosh! I think it's time for me to give out the camera also.

This camera actually was my sis's annual dinner lucky draw gift, but the quality really not good. The photo is blur, anyhow, it is still a very expensive one. If I still cannot find the battery, I'll return it to my sis, and ask her to buy a new one.

This is the battery that I'm looking for, do you know where can I buy it?

Fly Fly to the sky~~

During my lunch time today, one of my Japanese friends told me that, we can get cheap tickets from Japan Airlines again, but for limited time only. I have been telling my friends how I wish I could go traveling around the world, but now I can’t even afford for a flight ticket.

Today I had just paid another bill, this is really not a good month for me. “8” (August) doesn’t mean “Fa” (prosperous in Chinese) to me in this month, it’s not yet second week of the month but my pocket has already been drained off. I wish I could have gold coins as my property now so at least I don’t need to worry about my pocket.

Kamping Rider

This is another funny work we have in the office. The doll is actually a mobile phone hanger, and the 'sheep' is a 湯たんぽ(yutanpo, Japanese Hot water bottle) which was bought from Japan. After we made this thing, we call it as "Kamping Rider", kamping means sheep in Malay.

From this, either you may thought that we are very free, or we are too stressed. The first reason doesn't apply because we are actually handling so many works per day but still don't know what have we done. So the latter is more reasonable for this funny 'creature' appears in the office. Hahaha!

If I have 100 Meg

I found this video shared by my friend in FB. It's very funny as it actually complains about the poor internet speed from one of the local service provider. The song is in Hokkien, but got lyrics subtitle in Mandarin and English. It's really really funny until I cannot stop laughing when watching it.

Actually not only one, it happens all over the country. All the service providers also got complain about the internet performance. No matter how good their ads is, when you are really using it, sure you will want to throw away the modem already...

Welcome Back, My Friend~!

I still remember the day we did her farewell in the office, and said goodbye in the airport.

And now, she's back to Malaysia again~~ Actually I'm glad that she has chosen Malaysia to be her home. Actually even if we have so many whines about this country and their policies, but we can't deny that here is a good place for living.

We had a gathering for reunion just last few weeks ago. I hope that she'll be living here happily ever after.

Welcome back, Susan~~!

Inception

Inception Official Website

I don't really know exactly what is the theory, technology and concept what does it mean in this movie, the only thing I can feel after watching this, is that this is quite scary... the scariest part is not about accessing people's dream, is at the end of day, the extractor himself will forget which is dream which is reality. Then it'll be like Mal, Cobb's wife, get herself lost in the dream world and never come back to the reality.

I have dreams almost everyday, but most of them I forgot after I woke up, not even a single scene. Even though it was so clear while I was in it, and I could even remember the touch, the feel, the smell inside my dream. It's like I have been going to another world with a real experience. Sometimes I realized that it was a dream, but most of the time I wasn't.

If you can access to people's dream, who would you wish to access and what would you do? It's full of excitement and imagination, isn't it?

Printer

I really didn't know why I had made that decision. My brother has advised me 1) DO NOT buy HP printer because the catridge is expensive. 2) DO NOT buy a tri-color ink catridge because if one color is out you have to replace the whole catridge. But now, I've got a HP printer with tri-color catridge.

And then, after my brother knew it, he told me I shouldn't have bought it. Because there is another better choice: the all-in-one printer from Epson, with 3 individual ink tanks only for RM215. I didn't relly want to go for that brand actually...

By the way, going to PC Fair in KLCC is really a very a big "challenge" to me, because you have to suffer from traffic jam and terrible crowd. And this time, I brought along my parents. Really unbelievable? Believe it. Haha!

I just got to know this words from Google: Pig in a poke. According to Wiki, it means to buy a pig in a poke is to make a risky purchase without inspecting the item beforehand. I think now it's really saying about me. T_T

Oven no more (^O^)Y ~~

It's the old grandfather age of Proton Saga, the air-cond already got problem since months ago, I think starting from last year. In the morning or night, it's still working fine, because the weather is not so hot, but if it's bright daytime, we'll be in trouble. I tried to drive my colleague out for lunch, after came back, we were all sweating, and my friend even told me, the temperature outside is even cooler than my car. It's really like an oven, we were roasted chicken... and the well-done one.

After suffering for so many months, finally I take a day off to get it fixed. Guess what, if I have to replace everything inside, it'll cost me > RM600!! To a 18 years-old grandfather car? No Way! So they just vacuumed it, refilled the gas and put some 'special oil' inside, according to the foreman, it'll last for a few months. Until I don't feel the air-cond is functioning again, we can come back to them, and they will check on the tubes and everything inside again, if there is any leaking part, the oil will turn green.

Actually I don't really know anything about car, I can hardly name anything under the bonnet. That's why my dad came along. I know it's very costly to maintain a grandfather car, but as long as it's still functioning, I'll keep driving it out. Almost everyone who saw the car would comment that it's still maintained very well. Thanks to the previous owner -- my brother who took good care of it.

How long it'll still last? I really don't know, but at least at the moment, it's sill working for me and I'll still pay to maintain it.

Happy 3 years old

The first day of August has marked the 3rd birthday for my little nephew, whom we call him "Boy Boy". No doubt he's still very naughty, but he's still our angels.

Some of my friends don't like kids at all, they think kids are very noisy, disturbing and troublesome. But for me, every kids or babies are angels, they will become 'little devils' are because of the adults, we made them this way. They didn't choose to be like that. I can't say I've trained him very well, but still I have to admit that we are not good educators to kids.

Here are some developments for him at his age of 3:
~ He doesn't eat much rice, porridge and vegetables are NO NO. That's why he still drinks milk everyday, 3~4 times per day.
~ Still, he's not good in speaking. But he can recognize and speak out 18 alphabets, others he also can recognize but cannot pronounce. For numbers, he only can say 2, 5 and 8.
~ He can call my mum "Ah Bo", me as "Yi Yi" or "Ah Yi", his father as "Ah Ba", his mum/my sis as "Ah Ma". Others, he can't pronounce. So my father and brother are also his "Ah Ba", sometimes he'll said "Ah Bak" (old uncle) too.
~ Other objects he can speak: ji (chicken), yu (fish), bear, ooou (dog), yiaoooo (cat), Ma (horse), Bo (carrot), bag, etc. "Bear" is also one of the children song DVD that he likes to watch.
~ Since he can't speak our language, he came out with his own. Such as "Up" = eat, "Ah Bu" = lizard, B = Ribena, etc.
~ He will choose his favourite clothes to wear.
- He likes to copy what we are doing, e.g. how to unlock the padlock, how to apply lotion, how to talk on the mobile, using the remote control (of course he cannot pick the right channel or press on the correct button), etc. So whatever we don't want him to copy, we won't do it in front of him.
~ His favourite food: banana, langsat, dragon fruit, wantan mee, dark soy source chicken, etc.
~ His favourite drink: Vitagen, Ribena.
~ His favourite place: Jusco, especially Equine Jusco.
~ etc...

This is his birthday present, from my mum and I.

Happy Birthday, Boy Boy!
Wishing for your health and happiness always!

Happy Birthday Baby
