My Birthday Wish

I received a lot of wishes from FB today. I'm grateful about that, really thanks for their greeting and wishes.

One friend of mine told me, he doesn't put his birthday on FB on purpose, and he'll know who are his true friend that will remember his birthday because he will receive SMS from them. Actually I don't think it's a good way to 'test' your friend. And... I don't actually receive wishes from him today... hehe... but still I believe that he's my good friend. (I got his SMS after 12am today, so he has passed the 'test'... anyway no matter how I'm still appreciative for having this friend.)

I really had a 'peaceful' day today, all my teammates don't know that today is my big day. Even for those who met me in person. Anyhow I'm glad to keep myself in low profile. Birthday is only celebrated within you and your family after all. And I'm not alone on lunch too. I became a 'spotlight' actually... haha! Thanks Leau and his gf to have lunch with me together, and also joining 2 of his housemates in the same restaurant.

In my family, we never really make it a big party on our birthdays, the only 'celebration' that we'll have is just having dinner outside and buying a birthday cake. I insist on a cake today so that I can make a wish... :P

I don't wish for prosperity, wealth or beauty (although I really need them... haha), all I wish is the peace and health of myself, my family and all the people I care.

Care of yourself

It’s not easy to admit that I’m another year older today, anyhow some said it also means that you grow wiser because you get one more year of experience. As long as I don’t really look like my real age (:P) actually it’s just a figure.

Many people especially ladies afraid of aging because the sign will show on our faces. No matter how optimistic you are, you might still care about the ‘lines’ appear on you. Moreover nowadays many people do not practice a healthy and normal life style (like me), such as sleeping late, not doing exercise, not eating healthy, etc. One suggestion is, you may try to enroll at Regency Beauty Institute to learn more about how to take care of yourself, it’s not only the beauty, but also health.

Lunch gathering

It's our time, again, to think of our 'old times', followed with a big sigh.

Three of us, used to be the 'pioneer members' of our previous team, and now, everything has changed. We can't even imagine how it would become, since it seems that things are getting worse. Anyhow, it's no longer our concern.

I'm glad to see Shiho-san again since we last met, it was long time ago. And I managed to get Susan and Tomomi-san to have lunch together again, and also 'introduce' our ex-lunch buddy, Ted to Susan.

Next time, maybe I'll get KL and JL together. It's good to work in Cyber as many people are still around even if we are not under one roof.

btw, I have made a very very tough decision today. I don't know if I'll get a second chance in the future, but at the moment, I just think that this is not the best time for us to go to that option. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

My first birthday present in 2011.... from Boy Boy

They went to the shop, my sis asked Boy Boy, "We're going to buy something for Yi Yi's (姨, yi, mother's sister) birthday present. What do you want to choose for her?" Then he picked this and straight away went to the cashier...

Challenge

It's all about how good you are able to 'sell' yourself.
I thought I could do it very well, but at the end, I think I didn't.
Anyhow, it's cannot be a bad thing still.
At least I don't need to worry about the decisions.
Yes, I'm really impressed by the magnificent and spectacular looking.
But it seems a bit strange to me.
Especially it's so empty that made me feel scary.......
I'll just concentrate on my current learning, I think I still have a lot of improvement needed.
I know it will be tough, but at least this is the best place for me to gain my skills.

First day, new role

The first day I'm in CQM team. To be frank, I was so blank for the whole day. Everything are just so strange to me. I don't even know if there is anything I'm capable of.

CQM, training....... these are the things that I didn't really like to do in my previous role. And now, I have to do it as a fulltime, how ironical.

Hmm... there is something else that bothers me. Really.... another cross road, another difficult decision. And finally, it depends on what I'm looking for. I'm still considering about it.

Movies I watched in 2010

Hmm... I'm not really sure if I could remember all the movies I watched in 2010. Anyhow, there are some of them I have picked to be the best movies I have watched. Most of the reviews can be found in my label: movie.

First of all, is the Inception. My words are just not enough to describe my feelings after watching this movie. What I can say is that, it's the most impressive movie I have watched in 2010. The dream, the fantasy, the imagination, the reality, the fake world...... sometimes you may be lost in your dream too, you'll be confused as you won't be able to differentiate it's a dream until the time you wake up. But how many of you can remember your dream when you are awake? This movie is too 'real' until it touches my heart.

I still remember when Ip Man was first released in 2008, many people who don't know Chinese thought that it might be another superhero called "I.P. Man", then only they know it's actually the transliteration of a guy's name in Cantonese. Anyhow he's also a hero to many Chinese in his time, he's the master of the legendary kungfu star, Bruce Lee. Now the second episode -- Ip Man 2 is telling the story of his life after he moved to Hong Kong. It's the top of the Chinese blockbuster in 2010.

What so special about "Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time" is the main male character was playing in Brokeback Mountain before, although I never really watched that movie. The story itself is not so special, but I always like those movies telling ancient stories.

I didn't write a review about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, not in English, not in this blog. Anyhow this one of my favourite movie in 2010. Although the story itself is not really suitable for children anymore. Like I said, I always like those stories out of reality. Although I don't think this is the best in HP series. (Review in Chinese)

The A-Team. Nothing special. It just remember me of one of the very popular TV series in my childhood time. I still remember the theme music, that's all.

Despicable Me is surprising me as I always be the Disney's fan. For me, I would think that only Disney's animated films are suitable for children. But this one, really amused me. I watched it with my friends, and I just heard they're laughing all along.

Nicolas Cage another non-impressive movie, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I like the actor, I like his movies like Face Off, Con Air, etc. But recently, his movies are not really impressive to me, I don't know why. Anyhow, this movie...... I can't say it's bad though.

I had dreamt to be a dancer when I was young, but I think my rhythm sensation is not really that good, that's why I wasn't chosen for the school performance in my standard 1 :P. But I really like to see people dancing. So I like Step Up 3D. The most memorable scene is when they were dancing on the water, and also the dance in the last scene.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is the second movie I watched for the series. I still remember how gorgeous it was when I first saw Milla Jovovich in the first episode. I can say... she's still pretty but I can see sign of aging on her lovely face.

Other movies I have watched:
- Toy Story 3
- The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
- Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen

The others, I have missed it.

5th Day Off

Starting from last Friday, it's the 5th day of my 'holiday'.

1 week, for some people, is considered very long. But for me, the longest 'holiday' I had was 6 months, it was when I just graduated from college. So, 1 week... not really long for me.

Anyhow, this one week is just a break time for me. Call to an end to one position, and ready to start for another. I'm still not really confident about my new post, but it doesn't need to be too worry about it. I just need to take a rest and just take whatever comes to me.

5 years in CRM, is the longest period I had in my career in one single team. I would say I'm still like the job (simply just be a helpdesk agent), but I can't just stay in one place forever, I have to move forward.

I don't have any specific plan in the remaining days. Maybe just staying with my PC and keep myself on the line.... haha... really wasting time huh?

Finally, I left the team.

I still remember 5 years ago, the first day I started work, when all the team members from different background were joining together. It was the first time for me ever to see so many Japanese and Korean together with me.

It's been very interesting to be friend with them, learning their languages and their culture. We were really had a good time together, working and also happy to get along with. Before this, I never really knew that it can be so fun to have a foreigner friend. And moreover I didn't have chance to meet with foreigners previously.

Working in CRM is really not easy. I used to be a careless person so I always made mistakes, and couldn't answer questions or help users very well. My English communication also....... actually not really good. I can say that I learnt all these from here. CRM is more than just a job to me, many members and users are like my friends. And of course, I like the job. Anyhow, I still have to say goodbye.

In my last day's farewell 'speech', even though I have planned to say something a day before, at the end I didn't follow what I've thought. Anyhow, I wish I have expressed my feeling and delivered my message. Now, waiting for my 1 week holiday, I have to forget everything about CRM and start all over again.

Happy New Year 2011~~!!

It's another new chapter of this century. We have past 11 years after millennium.

2010 had been a quite difficult year to the world, natural disasters are getting worse. Many countries are having earthquakes, volcanic eruption, typhoon, rain storm, snow storm, tornados..... it seems that the news never stop. I really hope that such disaster can be reduced or even 0 disaster in 2011, if possible.

For me, it's quite an emotional year in my workspace. People come people go, and we are keep having different points of view to different things, and trying so hard to reach a consensus. We are trying to work things out, it's just our way of doing things could hardly be the same. Last year, Susan, Jeff had left, Bruce joined. And finally, I can put down my "TL" title and move on to my new role. Hopefully everything will be ok in this year.

Last year the only family trip that we had is my Singapore visit with my parents. This year, I hope that we can visit a further country, let's say China.
